filters and lighting equipment, i just cant seem to figure out what i am doing wrong not being able to get them to sprout, i germinate them in water than place
them in a Rockwell cube/growing medium. any support will be extremely appreciated.i am happy to send further images of the nutrients i use and details of my set up, being a young dad i have nobody to assist me, living in Sydney it is extremely hard to find someone that smokes let alone smokes therefore any help would be extremely appreciated.

We'll all help as we can I'm sure, but let me direct you to this thread. Your "mates" can help with more of any "local" questions you have better than us Yanks. :)
Best of luck!

If the seeds pop open before youre putting them in the rockwool and then dont do anything passed that when you put them in the rockwool, its likely your cubes are way too wet and youre drowning them like a lot of new growers do.

I fill the hole in a 4" rockwool cube with soil and sprout right in it under a T5 light. It works great and allows for a few weeks of veg in a very small 'foot print'.

I personally hate rockwool cubes! Do you plan to grow hydroponically? If not, starting in soil would be a lot easier!! I only tried rockwool once, and had the same results you did with it...I was using the small 1" cubes....and they sucked! Seeds sprouted but couldn't break through the rockwool, and died. Never again for me!!

Its even not needed for hydro. Ive been having good success with dropping seeds in coco+perlite and just pulling them up and putting them in the cloner to grow out. I had a few a while back that I pulled out of rapid rooters and put in a little 3 gal dwc bucket until they were big enough for the system.

I heard the Rapid Rooters are a lot better than rockwool!!
They have nutrient in them so you just add water, but they suffer from the same water retention issues as rockwool so they still have some learning curve imo. They work well, but its easy to overwater them and not always easy to tell if you have.
I used them for several batches and ended up throwing the rest of my bag away in favor of trays full of coco+perlite.

thank you so much for the advice really opened my eyes, being in Australia i literally have to order everything online i can not find anything in my local stores hence why i am strying to stick to soil as the medium i have given rockwool a go tho i have failed, as a newbie im just trying to find the simplest methods to germinating, a lot of people have also mentioned that the lighting which i am using is not sufficient/as strong for the germination stage. this is the soil which i am using at the moment.

I think you should change your name on here personally. Too close to my bro @Thundercat, lol. But welcome to RIU.

yeah just mix some that up with tap water or a light dose of calmag and fill up that tray with it. Do a handful at a time and squeeze it out as you fill the tray.
I leave the outside rows of my tray empty so I can leave the humidity dome on it. The condensation on the inside of the dome mostly drips into these outside rows, the inside ones get just enough drips to stay where they need to be.
I use a double layer tray and just make sure that theres always a little bit of water in the lower tray and its damn near set it and forget it for at least the first week.
I prefer dome on the whole time theyre in the tray. My experience so far has been the more humid the better, as long as theyre still getting good air exchange. I drilled a few holes in my domes along the outside edges and lift it up once a day for air.

You have a light, so you have enough for germination. They dont need much light at all for the first few days above soil. After that, they will tell you if its not enough or too far away pretty quick.

this is a great video to follow. Very informative, and everything’s made to be pretty simple.
I just throw my seeds in a shot glass and wait for them to pop a tail, then place them in soil. Hasn’t let me down yet. Stay at it. You’ll figure it out.
