I think that people should have to take a quiz to test how much they really know about growing to get credit, Not from making 5,000 posts. I'm sure if your on here that much you prob know your shit but there is a thing called GOOGLE and that can make you a genius
 
the more u post and read the more info you get back and learn alot more from other people that are growing in the same way as you that have experienced problems that u have,,aswell as pick up ideas of others and discuss the pros and cons of stuff..just my 20p worth there for ya..peace..km..doggies..
 
I agree with u brandon. First off ill say i know enough and im defiantely more knowledgable and experienced than most people my age but i am still an ammature, this site has tought me most things i know along with the experiences from my past 2 gardens. Forsure there are people on here who have thousands of posts and are the yoda's of dope growing. but everynow and then ill find a user on here who has thousands of posts and i feel like they are still ammatures and that im more knowledgeable than them. I wont name any names but there definately are some people who are on RUI more often then the time the spend in their garden and it kinda shows.
 
brandon, i agree with you on one hand but kevin makes a valid point as well. for my first indoor grow i used google just as much as rollitup. in some instances rollitup would have better info for what was pertaining to my question at the time
 
ya i even said that if your on here that much you gotta know something. This site is great and i've used things i learned on here by giving others this helpful information. And at the same time i've given some of my knowledge to others on here. Being a pothead i think about alot of shit and thats what i was thinking about at the time. Although i do learn shit all the time but I think i've learned how to roll along time ago.... haha

exactly because u clearly know what ur talking about and obviously have experience, but as most people on here will see ur 'learning how to roll' and think ur as newb as me, and instead of potentially listening to ur advice they will listen the the people who have thousands of posts.

I'm the exact same way with thinking about lots of stuff and different perspectives when im stoned, its awesome to talk with people bout it

Hey Brandon, Wassabi Bra?
I may be a little sensitive here but I kinda feel like the bony finger of indignation is being pointed in my direction. No offense taken, you're entitled for sure but in my defense I would say that I have been EXTREMELY candid about my lack of experience when I post. I feel like growin pot is kinda like sex. Ya don't have to be good at it to enjoy it. I'm not gonna bullshit anybody here, I'm the kinda guy that would tell Picaso how to paint but usually when I say something completely off the mark 15 or thirty of yas are more than happy to point out that I'm full of shit. Thank you all for keeping my ego in check!!
Within all this verbal sparring however we get a large sample of hundreds of years of collective experience and that is a very good thing. It helps the community in many ways. I thank you all and if I may take the opportunity to express my grattitude then I do so now.

Well people can listen to whoever and whatever they want. If they dont wanna listen to me and my advice because of my 50 posts then thats fine. All i know is i learned from a pot growing master but at the same time i still learn something new almost every day. I'm open to any advice. Does anybody else out there get 3 pounds dried on an outdoor plant. Not plants, 1 plant. And thats what he use to average. I'm talkin foot long clones, planted early june, and harvested early october. 3 lbs dried is crazy good on 1 plant. South of New York. And when your doing 20-25 plants thats alot of bud. Even though he's passed, he left behind alot of good knowledge. RIP..... Anyway Thanks for backin me up man. Hit me a messege anytime

@ Doser iv got lots of respect for u after that post, and u are the type of person who is legit and admits there advice may not be the best but it has worked for them and u arent trying to talk ur bud up like it just got on hightimes cover. U just enjoy growing the plant and try to share ur experiences thanks for that man, and thanks for not talking urself up.

@ brandon, yeah forsure man. we are in completely different boats lol, i have no mentor in my area that i can learn off, so every year i just try new and old things to figure out a system that works for me, RIU has really helped me but its definately the love of growing and the time i spend in my garden where i learn most things. Im sorry to here about your mentor but from the sounds of it he was happy and loved to share his knowledge.
 
Its a damn weed. It grows itself. There really is know knowlege involved. Basic gardening rules apply

As for techniques i dont consider them to make a grower more knowlegeable. We all learned from someone
