Wow interesting Ive heard more thc and terps in soil if done right but not smoothness in smoke. Good to know thanks! Yea some dont change aroma more earthy smell usually.

Then I have this strain kongs krush I jar it on time simply and the aroma changes and explodes. I dont get how it yields less terp sauce when pressing but it clearly has them.

Ive heard curing isnt just to get rid of chlorophil but to change it to something else. Just a lot of things involved some say its simple just redistributing moisture but this KK got me thinking it can be more special than that.

What do you do to cook your soil? I reckon that might be a loaded question so if there's a known method/formula on the web you want to point me to feel free to. I want to start reusing my soil but don't know what I need to do. I suppose I can simply re-amend, at the very least, but I'm wondering about the cooking...
A few years ago, I was buying soil and using bottled fertilizer, then I thought about the organic matter my grandmother used back in Africa, the thought of using horse, cow, chicken with greengrass and dried leaves, I mixed all this together with my home made bokashi, added malt, rock dust and a whole heap of the bokashi fermented greens and fish , yes fish I minced it, sprinkled more bokashi over it covered it for about 20 days dug up a hole in the middle added more Bokassa compost let it sit for a month then it ends in a 1000liter garbage bin , so all my soil goes through some sort of fermentation, when you spray the LABs on the dung it’s starts by killing the smells, and break down starts , I haven’t even mixed much EWC I say is 20liters from my own box , so there’re nuts in my grow now .

Yea thats why I made a thread looking for good smoke with everything being bred together these days. I listened to a breeders syndicate about how the indicas were bred with smoking weed and kind of messed that up a little.

Of course someone asked if it wasnt just my curing skills which I thought maybe. I just cured a strain I ran for a while but never got the harshness out. Being hash only I didnt care.

Well I have someone to give weed to now so I cured some and its much smoother but not quite like others. Others Ive smoked were super light like a malboro gold vs malboro red or black.

So hoping I can get a landrace which idk nothing about. Just seeing if it smokes smoother. How it smokes period. Sounds fun. I have a strain Im running again soon its smooth but hashy which is a different kind of hard.

A good kind I might add. The flavor must be super exclusive to what Im used to which I love when that happens. Then the high.. Its subjective but people swear by its effects even on a tolerance.

So yea some are for smoke, some for bho, rosin, bubble and flower rosin. All need to be bred for that or have enough of those genes in them.
Some things smoke smooth as hell some things smoke a bit rougher even when grown right some of it varies the old Afghan#1 line is notorious for this and passing on the harshness trait it's not a landrace just using it as an example

Yup they discussed that in the podcast it was a real gold nugget. Of all the stuff I come across. That we kinda stole theyre generics for its bud structure and fast flower times.

That the original hashplants or afghans were great in their envoirment. It didnt mold over there but did over here like in cali or so and the like. Was just for hash so it didnt smoke well.

Thats all I recall and how hashplant turned out to be something not even great for hash. Not to where Id dedicate myself hunting and growing that out.

But yea thats basically how indicas were bred into american and mexican weed. You can tell Im not keen on everything but I think thats somewhat right.

You need to remember farmers though they try and improve as they go when it comes to hash plants there under alot less selective pressure than something that's selected for bud makes sense when you consider with hash it's all a mix of plants anyway and yes alot of Afghani stuff is more vulnerable to mould and the strain called the pnw hashplant was called so cos of the taste not cos they selected it to make hash it's selected for indoor bud production and lower odour the pnw was a early pioneer area when it comes to indoor growing that's why so many strains came from there like hashplant big bud northern lights etc
