They are all, to one degree or another "good". Good is a realtive term, do you want good to mean easy to grow? Large? potent? disease resistant? Best on a particular substrate? pretty? fast?

those are legit questions, as those are the only differences in strains. they are essentially all the same.

PES hawaii are fast and disease resistant and medium size, grow well in both pf and wbs trays from personal experince, pf classics excel at pf tek but colonize slower, golden teachers are disease resistant and can get pretty huge more so in mono tubs than on pf cakes, heard good things about b+ never grown them myself, treasure coast produced very well in both wbs and pf tek but contamed a littler easier than some others.

If you are careful and you use grain you could do about 1 cc per jar without much problem. B+ is what I believe to be "good", that is, it is potent, it grows large, it is very user friendly. It was my standby for years until I discovered a pure, sporeless albino.

Anyone know a good strain or source? Should be easy to grow right?
You got a garden ? cuz i tryed the kits didnt work but i threw the waste in my garden & with the heavy rains spring & fall i get a mess of them every year in the shaded area where i threw
the kit waste Ill post a pic of this years take of psilocybe cubensis I suggest if you dont have a garden to put them in put them in area where you can break the ground shades good Act
your planting something else if need be Dont buy the kit you can get the spores for like 15 dollars spray them in the area you worked up Let mother nature do the work for you
watch the area in the fall but most come up in the cool rains of springs thoses came up
last week I live in southern indiana they come back every year IF you pick them right
dont just pull them up cut the stem with a small knife next years take will be bigger & you dont have to buy spores every year that way They root the ground below themself
I find a few in the grass below my garden area the day after i cut grass all year long
As for the buzz I never eat more then 3 dryed ones at a time so it not like tripping acid
but i feel very different Like triping can smoke more pot & drink more beer
Plus cutting the grass has never been so fun
where i got mine spores ? Single Spore Syringe at The Spore Works should work
I have to look 2 years back in emails took 20 min. Could a large pot on the porch work ?

one more thing add the Spore Syringe to a glass of water two many spore in one place isnt a good thing Plant a plant so people dont thing your starting pot seeds any cheap bushy flower will do empty the glass of water on the plant once its in the ground People do that anyway
& shake the syringe up not very hard before adding it to glass of water or bottle of water
If you dry them (they will be less powerful after dryed your call) dont use heat just use a clean area with a fan dont stack keep them apart a small space with do (the black under them is more spore thats called a spore print wipe it up with tp a small bit then start them else where speaking of which im starting next to my sled

Two of the right gendered spores will produce an infinite amount of mushrooms, so what is it you are asking again?

Haha leave him be. I havnt grown shrooms in years. I used to do casings in a tub but I've been wondering about doing them outdoors. Anyone have more info on how to prepare an outdoor spot for em? I've grown the cambodians and penis envy and loved both of em. Probably do the cambodians again. Can anyone reccomend a good disease resitant strain? I imagine doing them outdoors you are more likely to contaminate.

Jimmy, you are more likely to contaminate but also more likely to get mushrooms from contaminated "spawn". You may or may not be able to grow in the wild, depending on the weather in you area.

I've heard of people throwing their spent casings or cakes into their backyard compost piles and getting some decent flushes since there is new medium for the mycellum to take over. Wondering if anybody had tried this or has any input on the subject. As long as you know what the ones you're growing look like you could just avoid any bad ones right?

actually outdoors is much less likely to contanimate and is much easier then inside.

Ok so any ideas on how to prepare a spot? I'm assuming a kinda shady spot would be best but what kind of medium would one use and how would you prepare it? Could u just put the spores directly in the medium or would you wanna start cakes first then cover em like a giant casing?

what are mushrooms ? a lot of trouble if you get busted & something to try with friends you trust to the up most who have done them before
