Growing outdoors

I'm lucky enough to live in SoCal where it's like summer all year round, so I'm trying an experiment. I have a spot on my property that gets sunlight all day, and I've planted a seed in an ordinary planter to see if I can get some outdoor organic action going on. Any tips on what I should do next?

hey man.. im not sure about socal but in wisconsin the season starts in mid april and ends mid to late oct. i would just make sure you dont over water it. also, after its been vegging for awhile you could add some nitrogen but thats not for atleast 8 weeks.

good luck
