Growing seedlings and epic failure.

Nah I know I’m fact I did but I’m not sure if their saveable at this point. I’ve got seedlings that are like 4weeks old now (yes I know they are small and haven’t been growing. I fed the plants a bit too high dose of calmag+veg nutes too early and has causes a stunted growth. Fast forward to 2 weeks later (now) I’ve been giving little bits of water with no nutes to help balance out but still no growth at all. Some have been developing a crisp or spots and I’m concerned I ruined em all. Thoughts? We just had an issue with Clones of Vemon OG we started out with 25. This is what I did with all clones and most they have survived I took 2 gallons of water and I use recharge I put a teaspoon of recharge each gallon of water with a teaspoon of molasses in each gallon of water. I gave him a little blast of my little formula sauce and within a few days 16 clones are thriving. Hope it helps

I'm not sure how you're growing, I'm assuming chemical. Coco doesn't hold nutes like soil, which Is why you always apply that light base solution, and add more nutes as you see more leaves forming. Remember you are in control, and you don't have to follow feed schedule. Use that best judgement!! I prefer soluble kelp extracts (not sure if any made for soilless) to start, they literally have what you need to carry a plant through the hardening phase I would say, from a seed into a plant ready for veg. It contains trace elements, some micro, and macro with plenty of other goodies! I would think you could literally use cal-mag with mild P K additive and some trace minerals for the first 3-5 nodes and start with light nutes immediately after. haven't grown in COCO before but I know about it similar to Rockwool. When someone who grows in soil for the most parts knows you need lots of cal-mag in Coco, you should definetly be making sure that's on point hahaha! Also watch the salt build up, it's why peeps recommend the run off to flush pots. You can use a flushing agent on those water days. Some flushers provide lil nutes lol! I always use yucca as a surfactant and my first base to water. It makes water wetter! (Commonly found in flush agents as saponins). I'd love to see all those babies grow up, I spent months dealing with fungus gnats and tiny plants like that in 2" Rockwool cubes, yeah 2 months minimum with fucking root eaters, yikes! Algae creep in ,read it sucked up nutes, said fuck this, went back to soil haven't looked back yet! Best of luck, I love helping, let me know how it goes!!

I like to water shallow and often so the roots start to spread into the medium, than I will let sit till almost dry to send roots far down as possible searching for water and than make em expand with a deep watering. As long as you are watching diligently, no problem with them drying out till almost wilting but not actually if that makes sense, but only for the first week of transplant. I pick up pots, check weight for that lol People forget you are totally in control of a grow, not technically at the plants will... Find out how each part of a plant works, and learn to maximize conditions. You're here, wanting to learn and correct, that itself says alot!

Thanks a lot for that reply it was very informational and covered a lot of my bases, v easy to understand ty! I transplanted them into 5L pots on Sunday when I posted on the forum, and have been giving half strength nutes(including cal-mag) every second day with only enough water to get the middle of of medium wet as I am just waiting for roots to grow, no runoff. They have been doing extremely well and growing at a rapid pace ever since, I’m super happy with how quickly all these peeps turned around and that they aren’t done for. I appreciate all the words and have stored them in the brain bank and will use for further grows. Thanks again. Bless

They have turned around at an incredible pace thanks to the transplant and lite nutes every second day. What is recharge though if I may ask

Your plants turned yellow because you're growing in coco and you were feeding them just plain water and you starved them. Don't bother with P/K additives, molasses, or any of that stuff. Just feed a balanced nutrient at half strength. Don't feed plain water. Always feed nutrients when you water in coco.

Just some nutrients to help the plant gain lots of roots and root growth in the first days of transplant and on through out

I use rhizotonic by canna after transplant for a few days, it stinks like fish but it really helps those roots and they never get transplant shock when you give em a few doses of rhizotonic

For using recharge? Yeah man! I’ve been using it in coco also, about one in every 7 days or so. It gives a noticeable boost in growth in my opinion. But it’s subjective, some people don’t think so, I think it helps. I use it.
I also had a really hard time grasping the seedling stage. I did one grow in soil and I managed to get it. I just needed to see the growth first hand so I can see what the actual progress looked like when growing at each stage.
