Growing Serious Ak-47, Reserva Privada's OG#18, and Barney's Blue Cheese

Well I don't think my plants are over watered at all. Hell my AK-47 was droopy as hell one day last week and it still had another day to go before I was supposed to water her. I water all my plants every 3rd day. I keep track of the days with my calendar that I write everything down on, so I don't lose track of anything. Anyways I was checking out my plants and the AK was severely droopy, and I was like wtf is going on here? I gave her some water and checked back 30 minutes later and the leaves were not droopy anymore. If anything I might not be watering them enough imo. I could be wrong, but I think my plants are doing well overall. I will be posting some pics Friday sometime. There will definitely be a difference between last weeks pics and this weeks. That's for sure!

Alright, today is what I am calling Day 4 of 12/12 for the girls. But really it's the 4th day that I have seen pistils since the 12/12 flip. I actually flipped to 12/12 about 10 days ago. That's just how I do it. Others may count there's differently. Anyways they are all doing pretty good. The Ak-47 is growing like a beast. It is 27" tall now, and is quite bushy. She may be as big around as she is tall. There are pistils everywhere on her. I did some early lollipopping of all my plants. Well really just cleaning up the bottoms some. I will do it more vigorously after about 3 more weeks. I wanted to keep my plants a little shorter this time because I felt that the 400w doesn't get down through the canopy to far, so I tried to keep them a little shorter. But this Ak-47 strain is just a super fast grower compared to the OG#18 and Blue Cheese. I've added over 200w of CFL's over top the AK-47 and Blue Cheese, since the light footprint doesn't get the outsides of these plants very well inside my closet. All those CFL's really brighten it up quite a bit more than just the 400 HPS. It is causing some heat problems though. Especially with this 100 degree heat wave we have been seeing the past few days. My AC in my house just doesn't keep my crib cool when it gets extremely hot out like that. I may have to turn off some of the CFL's until we get a break in the heat. I don't know, they might be alright. I think I'm getting a little over-protective of my girls. lol!
The OG#18 is a beauty of a plant. It is 19" tall and just as bushy. I topped her along with all my other plants. It didn't bother any of my plants which really isn't anything special of a weed plant imo. This plant is such a pretty light green color with this super sour stink to it. Now that it's starting to flower the smell is becoming much more potent. I hope the carbon filter does its job, or else I may be in for some trouble. Lol! I actually want the stinkiest strains, so I am happy to have this strain. This is the strain that I am looking forward to the most of all 3 that I am growing.
Last but not least is the little 17" tall Blue Cheese with it's dark green indica looking leaves. It looks different compared to any strain that I have grown to date. I guess that's because it's an indica dominant strain. I don't think this plant is going to get very big. It has just been a pretty slow grower. Although according to Barney's notes on this strain it is supposed to be a small compact strain, so I guess so far they look to be correct.

Well, I see some fucking balls on my Blue Cheese. It's not just on one branch either. They are on quite a few of the branches. It's going to kill me to chop this plant, but I have to do what I have to do. It's for the greater good. Anyways this is my first ever hermie with a Fem seed. I was really looking forward to the BC to. I mean this is really going to cut into my harvest. Now I only have 2 plants left, and I don't really know what I should do. Should I just continue with the 2 plants are finished and then start a new grow? Or should I pop one of the many auto freebies or try a 12/12 from seed that I have and let it grow with the 2 that I have going now? I'm still not sure on what I'm going to do, but I know the grow will go on! I'm really bummed about this hermie. The other 2 plants are just fine and are actually looking great. There hasn't been any issues with anything really. That's why I am so confused as to why the BC hermied on me. The only thingf that I can figure is that the heat caused it. I had added a bunch of 26w CFL's all around it and with the current heat wave my grow has been a few degrees hotter than usual. Hell, my whole house has been hotter than usual. It's just one of those things that you have to deal with I guess. I will try to grow this strain again though just not next time. I'm leaning towards my Reserva Privada Headband, DNA Chocolope, and G13 Pineapple Express.
The OG#18 is staying so damn small. Hardly any stretch at all. I thought it was going to be a bigger plant than it is turning out to be. The Blue Cheese was growing very similar to it as well. But the Ak-47 is just stretching up. It wasn't a good choice to grow this with the other 2 strains because it is growing so big. It is very much growing like a sativa with very small thin leaves and it's very long and lanky branches. It has bud sites forming everywhere on it. Looks like it is going to be a big producer. I have cleaned up the bottom third of the plant of all growth. There is no way the light will penetrate that far down anyway. I have the OG#18 sitting on top of a plastic drawer thingy, so that the canopy is even with the AK-47's. I figure that I have about 2 more weeks of stretching left then it will be just bud formation for the duration of the grow. They are looking good, so I will post some pics later on in the week.

Nope, no veg tent. No tent at all. Just my closet. I made a little rubbermaid tote into a small cloning box. I could always use that to veg in for a little bit. It's about 2 feet tall I guess. I ended up putting 2 Reg Alphakronik White Diamonds into the soil and watered. The White Diamond is a cross of The White x Spacequeen. It isn't a strain that I am familiar with though. I just haven't seen anybody growing this one.

So I decided to use my rubbermaid tote as a veg box for my new White Diamond sprout. I'm using a couple CFL's in there for light. I'm just going to keep the light on in there 24/7 for the time being. I only had 1/2 germ, so I just popped another one. I will have 2 White Diamonds vegging for the next month. Then I will put them in with my other 2 plants that are flowering right now. So my Ak-47 and OG#18 are really looking good. Everyday I look at them, and I can see the difference from the day before. It's looking like the stretch is starting to slow down some on the Ak-47. It is starting to trich up everywhere on the leaves. That is definitely what I was wanting to see with it. It's looking like they are both going to be some frosty plants. The OG#18 is so bushy with this perfectly flat conopy. When you look underneath the canopy there are some small leaves coming from the bud site that is completely covered in trichs. I was surprised to see it because they are so well hidden underneath the thick canopy. I just love this part of the grow. I can sometimes get kind of bored with the grow until it starts to get to this point, and then I just feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

Have you ever grown the OG#18 before? I was just wondering because this pheno that I have hasn't stretched at all. I was just wondering if this is a common trait of the OG#18. I'm going to try my luck with the Headband next rip.

Since it seems not to stretch that much i'll might let mine veg alittle longer, and you will not be disappointed with the sour kush.

I just bought a bag of weed from a friend. It's called Kiwi Skunk. It has a really sweet smell with this skunky undertone. Nice uplifting high so far. Making me want to get up and do something. I love some skunk bud.

Okay well everything is going great with the OG#18. It is still at 20" tall, but she is bigger around. Her canopy is so damn thick that I started some LST on her. I'm trying to get some light down underneath the canopy. I've had her under LST for about a week now. I don't know how much it is going to help in the long run. She has a very nice pungent sour smell just emanating from her now. The trichs are starting to come ot on her as well. She still has a very light green color to her. I can already tell that I know that I am going to like this strain. I do know that the next time that I grow this strain I will veg it longer, so she will get much bigger since she hasn't got much of a stretch at all. Who knows it could just be this pheno.
Now for the Ak-47. I just noticed what I am thinking is a potassium deficiency. There are these small red dots on some of the leaves. The ones that are infected also have red stems. I decided to flush her real good this morning. I took some regular pics of my girls, but I will get another one of what I am talking about. You guys can give your opinions on what you think it is, and what I can do to remedy this problem. On a better note, she is looking good besides that. The bud formations are starting to come together to actually make some buds. There are trichs everywhere on the sugar leaves and even on some of the surrounding fan leaves. And it is early in the flowering cycle too. I can't wait to see the resin on this baby when she finishes up. I am really looking forward to it. As far as the smell goes it has a nice sweet smell that is kind of fruity. Not very strong, so I can't really give it much of a description. She seems to be finishing up with her stretch. She is a solid 3' tall now. She is a nice size plant. Looks like she is going to be a good yielder.
So far I have had 2/4 Alphakronik White Diamonds germinate and pop above the soil. One popped a few days ago. The other I had given up on, and I actually started to germ another seed in a wet paper towel yesterday. Then today I walked into my grow room and there it was with the whole seed shell on it. I did some emergency surgery with my exacto knife and got it off fairly easy. I don't think I did any damage to it myself bu the damage might have already been done. I will see if it makes it. I can only have 4 plants growing at a time, so I will have to figure out what I am going to do if this other seed actually germinates and the other seedling lives. Well I have my seedlings in my rubbermaid tote veg box under 2 CFL's. One is a 24w and the other is a 15w I believe. Hopefully I can keep these newborns going, so I can put them into flower in a month or so. These are regular seeds, so I could end up with males and that would suck. That's just part of the game though. It sucks when I can only have so few plants at a time. It just isn't worth the felony charge to have more though. I will have to learn to deal with this fact. I am excited to see what this strain is about. I haven't seen anyone who has grown this out, but I have heard good things about Alphakronik's gear. His beans are pretty cheap too. I have had much better germination rates though with strains I have run in the past from other breeders.
