Growing SOG in my Garage, Need help with odor.

it cost me $29.99
and i made a DIY carbon filter exactly like this,

well i can tell u for sure that will not eliminate the smell.. your 500cfm fan is gonna pull air through that carbonscrubber way to fast... will not be able to clean the air.

what if i have the inline fan and then some ducting, and then the carbon filter at the end of the ducting?
wud that work betteR?

no bc if the fan is pullin through more cubic feet a min then the filter can handle then it wont work.. like i said b4 u have to make sure your fan takes in less air then your filter is rated for just so u dont overload your filter.. like in my main room wit the fan and filter i posted my room air gets exchanged 2x a min now in my tent it gets exchanged 4x amin you cant pull more air through your filter then it is rated for.. now grNTED I HAVE NEVER MADE OR used A DIY filter like u got but if your fan is 500 cfm and your filter is that small it will do no good for u.. my advice to u oranyone else is spend the money get the euip or the filter u neeed or down grade to a closet for the filter or euip u have... imho

Wow, downgrading to a closet grow wasn't the advice I was looking for, lol, does anyone know what I can do to eliminate odor for my flowering room? And to keep temps down? I was told to buy an online fan and attach a carbon filter to it but I guess that's not good enough...

no the carbon filter is the answer but u have to get one thats the right size...
