Hey guys I am interested in starting a veggie garden and was curious about soils. What im looking to find out is the ups and downs of the soils I have access to around my area for this purpose. First off the 3 main soils in the lowes/home depot around here are scotts potting soil, Scotts moisture advantage, then the miracle grow potting soil and miracle grow moisture control. Are any of these soils any good for veggie gardens indoors? Buying other stuff online isnt out of the question but was just curious about these local ones as it is cheaper to just buy at the store than to ship. Right now I have been doing some testing with jiffy seed starter soil from home depot and have great success with germination. My cucumbers grew over a 3 night period and are already 6+ inches long. So i really need to figure out what kind of soil I should transplant into and also im curious to how long can a plant survive healthy in the seed starter made by jiffy? Thanks to all.
