*if you don't want to hear me waffle; please go straight to the video link and see why i'm perplexed *
Being an outdoor grower most of my life (later going indoors with HPS). I have now tentatively been experimenting with led's for a number of grows (starting with the old blurple panels ..so i get a feel for the tech, and the (possibly silly) thought process that; if i can grow with blurple i'll grow even better when i update to newer led tech
So, i knew it all started with the NASA led studies (red, blue spectrum growing) and from reading forums how that spectrum has expanded over the years to include specific colour shades and uv light etc. However, it seemed to me the 'general' consensus was that green didn't do much of anything in the growing department (i know this view is/has changed somewhat more recently).
Now, I'm currently growing with a red/blue/green cob light, which got me searching around for info ..which lead me to this video from Japan. In it they are conducting a test where they CLAIM to be growing plants under just: red light, blue light ..and green light! You guys in this forum are more knowledgeable then me so ..whats up with that? Is it just a false test (perhaps due to light bleeding from the other tests/external light) and maybe that is skewing their results? It looks pretty high tech though .. and so i figure they know whats what
Anyways, enough waffling see the video below.
Skip to 07:24 to see the light growing experiment (although the rest is interesting to watch)
