dude that shit is so kick as i love what your doing it took me a couple years to switch from foxfarm soil to hydro but my brother talked me into it so now were doing a true sea of green stop bye and check out the journl its starting to get good and i would really like to see some pics of all the harvested girls dry didnt you say 2 zips a plant i really wanna see it cant wait looking good bro keep it up rep+ to you

Thanks for dropping in, grodrowithme! Yes, I will check your grow out very soon---I had been following it daily and I 've just been too busy around here. And I didn't get any pics of this last harvest but ended up with 14 from 8 girls........now I just have a few MoonFlower Ladies left in soil and the soil's done for now.

Haven't been keeping this updated as I had planned as I am using a record type book for keeping my notes now. Kind of had thought there'd be more interest here which would have made me want to keep better records......
Oh well........

So I will be back to update this probably 2-3 more times before I harvest the SS in the AF, which is in its' 4th week, almost.

Alright. WTF am I supposed to do with these huge fricken leafs on this Mazar x Afghan???

I have a couple of awesome pheno's of this ready to give clones and I was going to do a run of it in the AF next. The leafs are so huge I cant even picture what a mess the AF20 would look like full of these......even in a table(SOG)............

This is a single MF with a good 2-3zips on her(the best I 've done with her in the past 3-4 yrs is 3 zips). I am keeping a mom of her around as she's my favorite smoke but she's a bitch to grow because of all the branching and didn't do nearly as well after trimming the branches before the 12/12. I usually just kept wrapping string around the outsides to keep them up and not sprawled all over......

Thanks for the comments! I think I about killed that Mazar girl with the huge leafs!---saw a gnat in the res so I gave a shot of goGnats and it was way too much..........but no more gnats

well i see why your buds are so swollen and fat,and the way those calyxes just bust every were and are a sweet color. you keep one hell of a clean nice op. thats the only way to do it though and get good budz. is the moonflower a local PNW strain,or could a man get some seeds from a bank if he wanted? anyway just wanted to drop by and see how things were going and by the looks of it,its freakin AWESOME!!!!! so have you got to just the hydro yet? are all the soil girls gone and the two dwc's?

Thanks grodrowithme! Yes, I do finally have all of the soil out of there! I have a couple of emergency moms in 1 gal grow bags, just in case I f*ck up. I have the two dwc's in there, a 2' x 3' table and the AF20.......and I am working in my veg room today because it is getting way overgrown....... Shit, I JUST threw about 30 very nicely rooted clones in a trash bag for the compost. Now I need to take fresh ones so I can boot out the moms that are getting so big and get all of my vegged girls into another table or something(they're in 4" cubes and need to be put on hydroton filled pots...........)

I got the Moon Flower seeds from Weedfarmer about 4-5 years ago and they aren't around anymore. They were repackaged so I dont know the breeder.... So I dont know what to tell you---I wish I could give you some clones. I may try to breed her with something in the near future: She's the best smoke, without question, that I 've ever smoked--and the sweetest smell............ I am not familier with any of the local strains around here.

Buds are packing on the weight with what most definately seems to be ahead of where they are usually at at day 35--notice the SS's signature bleaching my original pheno had?

The AF20 today as the lights were coming on. Only the channel to the right is full(10). Next run will be a blast!!--- I 'll move it about a foot more away from the wall and build a pvc frame(like StinkBuds) and tie those biches up(down) nice!


I 've got the new clones rooting right now........next run is going to be 1/2 SS 1/2 Mazar x Afghan or THC Bomb........

Anybody figure out how to give rep now that they changed...?

after the site change I think they forgot to include the 'justice' icon for giving 'rep' with the new skin.. but its still on the old skin.. just go to your account page and go to options and at the bottom there is a skin selector .. go back to the old one and that 'justice' (weight/scale thingy) icon will be on each post again.. BTW, love that strain ! looks dank as hell and must be an incredible smoke .. ROCK ON

Growinman, you're lookin real good I enjoyed reading through the thread, looks like you're gonna have some sweet budz there. and damnnnn that leaf was big. I noticed some major leaves on my hydro, too, but those were maybe only an inch thick. keep it up i'll be watchin your progress.

oh yea, and the salad spinner, why do you need to shake out the rockwool? do you soak em and then shake em before putting clippings in?

Hey there sb101!! I was hoping you'd show up over here! I dont post the link to my grow in my sig because of past experiences---over at OG if I helped any noobs out or commented in the help threads I ended up with having my journel become a Q & A thread in the organic soil section.......which was fine: I just didn't have the time so many do have to be on here......and I am by no means a pro, just learning as we all are. So anyway, what do you think?? And are you done harvesting? I remember you were about to harvest some desil and had some choc thais that had hermed---but you hadn't done any new pics......haha---hopin you got some(I'll go check in a bit).

So I haven't had much time to update because I have been researching some problems I thought I was having. Mainly the SS I have in the AF is showing N def sooner than normal and I was seeing purpling in the fleshy part of the newer leafs. I started the 12/12 with straight bloom nute and never gave them anything for N so they are definately lacking some finishing beauty....yet I dont want to start them back on any 'grow' now as they're looking to be about 2 wks from finishing, which will be a whole week faster than my soil grows(so the jury is still out).
This is what they were showing on Tuesday:

The nute burned tips are from the first feedings.....ooops!The purpling tints were almost looking like Mo def but it's only on the plants directly under the light. Potroast brought me to the conclusion that it is more than likely a mix of N in late flowering and not giving any grow at first feeding of 12/12.......... And the thing is is that I had the same thing happen with this pheno in soil on more than one occasion....and Cal/Mag.......................
So everything is still moving along quite well. I just scored 3 600wt hps ballasts/hoods/3.5lightrails for $150 ea set!! This was off of CL and I will now just have to get some nice new bulbs(even tho these are 'like new, used only one month..' yada yada). Anybody want to buy 3 Light Rail 3.5's??-------they'll be back on CL eventually.

So I have new pics to upload; will get to it this weekend some time.....tons to do.

Thank you, 1kooguy, that would have probably been better than what I ended up doing.......



I have my old hard drive in this thing so I can just take off what I want(pics, etc)...... Now I just have to figure out an easy way around my old 'administator' settings on it so I can take whole folders instead of 1 thing at a time. I just haven't had time to mess with it......

Here's a SS(3 1/2 wks 12/12) i have in the diy flood table I made:

She's in Canna Aqua nutes(kept on grow nutes first week), in 4" rw cube on hydroton, floods every hour for 50 seconds.......

Speaking of diy........just setting this up as a temp table(I painted the outside of it black a couple of hours ago).....
The tables are definately temporary.....really thinking to go completely AF and get the AF60 too.........and not a diy one like I was in the middle of<---for good reason.

haha---18 gal tote($4), under-bed container($11), fittings($3?), 396gph pump ($30), and a couple of $ worth of hose 3/4"id, and I already have the ART Dne cycle timer and cheapo benches.........figuring to run around 8 Mazars in this.........

that N deficiency, is it from not giving them a dose of grow fert at the beginning of your flower cycle? i'm still working out the kinks for my nutient feeding schedule, finally picked up a med dropper/spoon of 1&2 tsp. alright keep on keepin on how long do you suppose till the next harvest for you? . i think i just told the story of my life in smilies...

I am thinking and hoping that's exactly the problem with the yellowing......got everything else pretty much covered.....

Harvest was to be + - around the 25th on the AF----but thinking it'll be about 5-7 days early......vegging M x A(mazar) right now... But hey, I chopped two real nice SS today that I need to get trimmed up now--looking to cure out around 3-4 zips haha!

haha alright i can't keep track of the threads..i'm not doing another hydro run yet, no...i'm going to perfect soil in my closet and improve on my hydro in different circumstances.
