okay guys i own both. I own a homebox L and a gl120. I use them both in a perpetual setup. If i had to choose one, i would go with the gl120 due to its better quality, features and design. BTW i love the little velcro window on my gl120 
and the silver lining. One thing that most people might overlook about the difference between homeboxes and gl's is the fact that the door is smaller. The doors on the hb are almost the whole height of the tent, but the on the gl there is 8' of tent on the top and bottom before the door begins. I think that the smaller doors on the gl are better because the doors are easier to manage when doing a quick watering and working inside the tent. The homebox is 3"4' i beleieve?? and the gl120 is 4", so there is a size difference as well. I run a air cooled 600 in the gl120 and its perfect. just my 2 cents hope this helps somebody out
