Hi STH, great job so far. Keep it up!
Usually I'm not a big fan of Advanced panels but I know a few folks who swear they've always gotten great results from them. . Have you thought about adding any other lights or are you going to stick it out with just this light source? Grow looks fantastic and all but I'm wondering if sticking a few CREE Warm White spotlights in the tent would kick it up a whole 'nother notch? But whatever, your call and all. One thing you should do is post a few pics and a link to this thread in the "LED Users Unite" sticky in the LED section. I bet quite a few folks would like to see this grow and everyone in the LED section is subbed to that thread. Take Care and B Safe!

they look great, congrats , i've been thinking alot about led light's cause heat its a big issue to me due to my country climate.
What distance do yo have your LED's from the canopy ?
I keep it 18 inches so the outer colas get light too i could go lower but the outer wont receive as much light i went led for the heat also i have a 400watt hps and i have to exhaust out a window and i cant at the moment.

Looks good to me! was going to say that you have the LED's quite far away but you know what your doing, pull them back a little and get some more coverage area. I don't recommend getting your plants any closer than 10" to the light, they can go all the way into the light if they wanted but they will get these "hash tips" or "bleaching". Just be aware that they are powerful enough to do damage too.

O yes i belive if i get closer then ten this light is strong enough to bleach i cant even look at it a lil cus i turn around and my whole vision is fucked hahaha i wanna throw another light in there cus i can tell already another will help alot more since the center colas are bigger.i want another ds100 or 200 they have daisy chain feature wich i like i can just hook it up to the one i have in there.

Arn't you afraid of wasting too much lumens just to your side branches get some light ?i really dont have any expirience with leds but from what i read the loss over distance is much more than hps , and even for an 600w hps bulb 18" is too much. Maybe you are having more loss than profit in thinking on side branches ?
Maybe im wrong , just exposing my opinion, dont take it the wrong way

Go for the newer model XTE-100w , it is much brighter and seems to run a little cooler.

Depends on beam angle actually, or how light exits the LED/Lamp/Panel . Few other factors too. LEDs are directional which is why they work very well in smaller grows. The bulb below has a tight beam angle and is good for not lighting one's walls, which always sucks IMO.

but by that you mean , he could lower it and direct it to cover the sides also ?

Again it's about beam angle so you wouldn't lower it to get the sides as much as point it where you want it. Big panels aren't as good as the smaller stuff with tight beam angles, (less than 90 degrees), for directional use but you can tilt them slightly to cover you plant better if needed. Or you can buy a bigger more powerful panel then raise it till it covers the whole plant :). Easy peasy but $$$. Or you could buy something like an Illumitex spotlight that has 50 or 10 degrees of beam angles and point it where you think it will help. Or Cree bulbs which would really help out here IMHO. Intensity is very important in LEDs and the budget stuff usually doesn't have very good intensity or efficacy (efficiency), though Advanced isn't as bad as most that's for sure.
Does that help?
