Guano Questions

Is guano good just because it's got lots of Nitrogen or Phosphorus? Or is "special" because it has other benefits for plants, besides it's value as fertilizer?

Will High P guano produce better results than something fish bone meal or a bunch of rock phosphate?

And is there much difference between High P Bat Guano and High P Seabird Guano?

I use bat guano for P. Label says its high on macro nutrients apart the npk specific value. As long as you cover the npk needs you re fine. Very happy with it nonetheless, bud is proper good

Seabird guano will burn the shit out of your plants. As will bat guano. But bat guano is the king of fertilizers. It's like a top fuel dragster so drive carefully. Real easy to use too much. I don't use it in containers. Too much. The 7-3-1 deposit isn't so hot. Seabird will burn faster than anything. I think every grower perhaps will have to learn the seabird lesson.
Fishbone and rock phos are better choices unless your growing monsters and want to carefully use some seabird.

True true! You gotta go very easy on it. Been using it for years but yet never a flawless grow for the whole plant. Weed comes out great but some phenos take it very rough, just make sure theres no over/under watering when this happens.
Im a week out from adding the flowering dose and i could never stop from adding just another tbsp... mistakes!! This time im going very easy. Ill report :bigjoint:

Be very careful how you handle the product and know your source as bat guano can contain some bad shit, excuse the pun.

This from Stanford Uni ........ Infectious Ebola virions have been found in the stool of bats ("guano") (4). The infectious guano could have transmitted Ebola to humans or to another intermediate vector. Bats in Mount Elgon have been implicated in the transmission of Marburg (a filovirus closely related to Ebola) on two separate occasions.

Don't inhale the dust if it is dry and you are topdressing.

Bat guano is not very well suited for growing Cannabis. Cannabis is not a P heavy crop. Most growers avoid it since it's too high in Phosphorus but it can be used in small amounts. It's very easy to over use it and burn the plants.

Best thing with P guano would be to find phenos that can take it and then go crazy with clones, ime its almost half of the plants that can take it better than others.

In general if you re careful with it, it delivers. And even if you re not careful it still delivers even in a bad state lol In this grow i added 50gr at week 5 and i think i could get away with as little as 30-40gr.

I ve had my biggest plant in this grow 110gr for one SLH dried at 55%rh atm. And looks like the other SLH is even more it still grows. In total more than 1gr/w fosho

And better safe than sorry, always wear a mask when adding it i always do. This was my last grow with guano anyway, im wrapping up my grows after i cut the last two out of four plants. Would love to go guano free when i start again at some point and instead go heavy on the mix with dried comfrey, yarrow and others :peace:
