To cute :)

If the pigs come knocking get her locked up before you let them in or they will kill her :-(
I also have two full grown German Shepard's, Hopefully with them and my Husky, Pigs will stay away. Dont have any problems with pigs right now anyway. Everyone on my street either brews beer or grows weed. We look out for each other. haha

I was thinking a horde of fox terriers (although I do not like them) or other small dogs would be best to keep the cops at bay.
I know a lady that lives on a plot (In SA, farming is more dangerous than being a police officer) that has somewhere between 40 to 60 of the things and no guns, lives on her own.

the dog is separated from the grow room. He just wanted to follow me in.
Ahh, thought you meant.. actually leave the dog near/in the grow room to protect it. I know of one who has 5+ pit bulls and anyone walking in that's not him and him alone would be a very big chew toy.

Hope you have insurance and are prepared for a lawsuit.

Guard dogs = worst idea ever.
If you own the land and it's posted private property.. any who encroach upon that space get what they get and many many states would back that as a form of trespassing that got violated, and the dog put the smack down instead of the owner putting 5 rounds into an intruder. At that point, the intruder may survive the dog attack and it'd be an ever-lasting reminder not to violate private property signs. Picture to illustrate my point:

If they ignore the sign and said Rottie mows them down, who's fault is it that the warning was given that got ignored?

My dog isn't a gaurd dog, she is a german shepherd, will not attack unless I tell her too, or if someone hurts me. She's trained to protect and defend on command. A well trained and socialized dog will not bite unless there's distress (police raid), or my command. I work with her several hours a day, just because you have a "bad ass" dog or whatever doesn't mean anything unless the dog and the human are both well trained.

I as well have this one

If you were a thief I like to think you'd go to the next house and skip the one with this sign. I also have this one..

I like that second one, may have to get it to compliment the one I was contemplating hanging just inside my front door, looks like this:

Bro you better check into that. NEVER EVER have a beware of dog sign. You can have something that suggests a dog is on premise but do not give any types of warnings. The judge will use that as evidence that you KNEW your dog was a problem animal and needed proper constraints. Check into it, people get sued regularly because someone trespasses and gets bit with beware of dog signs.

Also, trespassing/keep out signs are not applied to any person under the age of 12. So if a kid crosses your "keep out" sign and gets bit, you are in big trouble.

Look for a "Dog in yard, please close gate" type of sign.

My two Shepard's are very well trained, work hours a day with them if possible and during summers when im off (teacher) i can spend plenty of time teaching them. The Husky is a puppy but learning fast. Plus when you see blue eyes in the dark they glare red. No intruder wants to see that im sure!

My dogs only attack on command. training upon training helped with that. They know the difference between a harmless kid or adult and someone breaking into my house. no "beware" of dog signs here, just signs pointing out that i have two german Shepard's. just got my "Husky on Premises" sign too.

Get a rottwieler and put its food bowl near your grow, the rotti will guard its food no matter what :) also maybe a window he can stare people down from. They're like big teddy bears by the way, great pet. Just don't fuck with its food

A lawyer advised me as well to never post a sign declaring "Guard Dog on Duty" sign unless said dog was a trained guard dog. Too many frigging chances of a law suit he said.

The two German's and the Husky post themselves near the bay window (next to my front door) and stare at people all day haha

I like to think of a good personal protection dog is like a burgular alarm. Except alarms don't bite. My dog does. Which would you rather try and beat?
