read this post and thought id register and add to it-I no longer guerrilla grow because im satisfied with my indoor output, not to mention the labor that goes into a decent outdoor setup, but i will say that nothing ive ever read worked as well as the methods we used:1:your spot-I always heard you have to trek out into the woods away from roads etc.-not necessarily.find a semi steep hill, directly off the side of a road,(ill explain why) away from hiking trails, that is dense and is surrounded by brush and growth that nobody would just decide to roll down for a hike.brush thats almost impossible to walk through. You ideally want a hill that flattens out a bit downhill, yet is still surrounded by growth-this will be your plot.2:Rodent Control-your plants WILL get eaten by woodrats, rabbits, deer etc. if you dont do this-start your rodent control at LEAST 2 months before you bring in clones(and have a solid number of backup clones in case your plot gets
eaten.)Critter Ridder from Havahart works insane-get the spray instead of the granules, and apply it once a week.Use Shake-away as well, or get some mountain lion urine, preferrably from a male, or similar, if you can find it.Last but not least is traps-get the Vector rat traps and use peanut butter-ive prob killed over a hundred huge wood rats with those things.you can re-use them, but handle with gloves. Also, rubber rattlesnakes work as well-move them around your garden regularly.Build cages for your plants out of chicken wire WITH TOPS, or the rats will climb right in and get down on your plants.Once your plants are a couple feet tall, remove a few cages to see if they get grubbed.if you did all of the above, they should be left alone.
3:WATER:this is why you picked a spot off the side of a hill.Buy a portable water tank, preferrably green or black.(UV Rays wont penetrate like they would a white tank and algae is less likely to grow.)you want a big one-at least 500 gallons, with a one or two inch drain hole at the bottom for your garden hose.Secure the tank with rope, drive up at night w/a friend, and lower the tank down the hill out of sight as quickly as possible.Since its off the hill and out of sight, you can go up the next day and maneuver the tank into place(at least ten feet uphill from your garden)Check out
watertanks.com for a good tank.Next you want 4" corrugated pipe-secure that to your tank and dig a trench up your hill, and bury the pipe-you want the end sticking out in a place that still has good cover, but that you can easily get to to hook up your other pipe(we capped off the pipe when not in use and threw a piece of camo netting over it and some brush to hide it-which
brings us to the next step-Get another tank to fill the tank thats on your hill-you can use a smaller one-like a 250 gallon rectangular truck tank-your going to need a truck-your also going to need another pipe, but this one needs to be more flexible,so you can quickly hook it up to your buried pipe.Check out flex-drain.com-Now you have your tank on the hill, your drain pipe buried up the hill with the tip sticking out uphill(which is capped with a pvc cap,and hidden by a camo net and some brush),your flexdrain, and your truck tank. The flexdrain and the corrugated pipe is both 4'', so you need to order a 4"fitting on your truck tank-now you need a 4 inch gate valve to hook up the flex drain and control the flow of your water when you do your waterdrops(btw i have one im selling)-theyre a hundred bucks new from
aquaticeco.com.When you get your valve and all the fittings(from home depot)-attach it to your truck tank.Your now ready for a water drop-this is
where we ran into a problem and on our first water drop, the flexdrain came unattached from the drainpipe and all the water went everywhere except the drainpipe.-the flexdrain is 4" diameter on the outer edge of the pipe, and the 4" corrugated pipe is 4" on the inner edge,if that makes sense. The flexdrain will fit flush with the drainpipe, but you need something to hold it in place when the water pressure comes-We used velcro on the inside of the corrugated pipe and the outer edge of the flexdrain.Maybe you can come up with a better method but velcro worked for us.Now the system is ready, and this is where it gets sketchy-not gonna lie -the water drops are the gnarliest part and work best if you have a friend uphill and downhill in hiding, each of you having a two way radio or walkie talkie to alert the person doing the drop of oncoming car.We did this at night around 10 pm, and I was able to decommission the system in less than five seconds and drive off
before a car passed by(only to turn around down the road to come back and finish the drop.)Forgot to mention-same velcro setup on the opposite end of the flexdrain so you can shut off the gate valve and quickly throw your hose out of sight before you bail. This sounds complicated but its easy once you know your system, and you can be gone in seconds-Just a recap-your hose is buried, connected to the tank downhill.Your truck tank and your section of flex drain that your going to quickly connect to the waiting drainpipe, are connected together in your truck with the gate valve secure-You drop your friends off,get the okay over the radio, pull up and connect the flex drain which will hold with the velcro you installed, and lift the gate valve-the 250 gallon tank will be empty in about 20 to 30 seconds thanks to gravity-you now have 250 gallons of water in your tank.when the truck tanks empty, shut the valve, reel in your hose quickly, throw it in the truck and
your gone.Works like clockwork once you have the system down.4:digging holes and bringing in soil-now that youve done a water drop, soil drops are easy-same rules apply-friends in hiding, radios, throw the bags and tools over the hill and out of sight. If your hill has good soil, amend it and use it, but we chose to bring in our own soil-bought two pallets of happy frog from the local nursery-i think they were 600 dollars a pallet with around 50 bags per pallet-get a storage unit and tell the owner your family owns a nursery and you need to store some extra supply-do soil drops in cycles.dig holes at least 2' by 2' preferrably 3 by 3 feet.line the bottoms of your holes with around 3 inches of perlite for drainage.if your lazy, you can use pots, but make sure theyre hidden and dont go any smaller than 15 gallons.5:Nutrients and bringing in clones-now you have your holes dug, all of your trash is out of sight or you hiked it out of the site, your water
source is full and ready with a garden hose and waterwand attached. If your doing the numbers I did, theres no fkn way your going to mix nutes every time you water.get HeavyHarvest from Advanced-stuff works insane. But dont believe the label about it being foolproof in regards to burning your plants-I burned the shit out of some blueberry clones.Scatter about a half a handful in a 2x2 area and dont feed again for at least another 2 and half to 3 weeks. Its time released, so thatll be plenty-if your using a good soil like FFOF or Happy frog, i would do half of that if your clone is still in early Veg.6:insect control-get Azatrol-THE best shit for spider mites. Its expensive.Try wrapping a piece of duct tape around the base of your stem and buying some anti-insect glue-its organic, forget the name-crawling insects like spidermites, caterpillars etc. cant make it past the glue, and the duct tape prevents your plant from absorption. All of the following steps are
just basic growing techniques-training, watering, etc.If your going to attempt a real guerrilla grow, the main setback is water and a good spot-Use this system and water is no longer an issue.
