Guerrilla Warfare: TGA's Jack The Ripper & Querkle, DNA's Cataract Kush

The Querkles and Jack The Ripper were slapped up a bit last night, due to a huge storm that blew through.

Both Querkles and the Jack buckets were knocked over by 60-70mph wind gusts.

As soon as I came on-site, I quickly propped the buckets back up to their original positions. On my way to this plot, a few miles away, there were trees down on top of power lines, and just complete vegetation destruction everywhere.

I was expecting the worst...but luckily, despite falling over, the plants are fine. No broken branches, but maybe a few twisted ones which had to be corrected. There was some drooping of the leaves, but they were otherwise unharmed.

This was at least the 6th major storm these plants have endured since I put them out in February. They've dealt with several 60-70mph storms, temps in the high 20s on a few of those first few nights outdoors, and hail the size of golf balls.

I only lost the Cataract Kush with the hail storm.

I was pretty pissed about losing the CK, but given what these plants have been through, I'm very happy I have what I have left.

The buds were left intact, and with the sunshine today, the top colas glistened with trichomes. Despite looking like they went through a washing-machine, I think they'll bounce back and be fine in a few days.

Here are some pics (I'll be uploading a video and providing a link a little later):

***PS***

Just wanted to apologize to anyone that views this thread and is annoyed by all the invalid Photobucket image links (on earlier posts).

I've decided to post all pics directly to RIU, so this should NOT be a problem in the future.

Sorry about that!

Here's that video of the entire plot.

At the 2:00 minute mark, you'll see the transplanted Jack The Ripper clone.

Couldn't be happier with it; there's new leaf growth and it's getting taller. I lucked out in that the clone actually was attached at the base of the original Jack The Ripper, and had a root to it.

Well it's been a long summer, waiting for harvest.

The only Cataract Kush female I had died by an act of God (Hail Storm):

IMG_0004.jpg

The two Querkles I have already harvested and smoked up! They were a fantastic summer smoke. The Spring harvest really pulled me through the summer with a lot of smiles. :D

The Jack The Ripper had some ups and downs. It started flowering during the end of Spring, but never really got going, and reverted back to veg during the summer.

There was some bud rot, and some branches that weakened and broke off.
There is also a pH problem and we've had tons and tons or rain, so the leaves are all spotty from overwatering...the plant is coming to the final few weeks of it's life.

The resulting female looks like hell, but the smell......oh the smell.

Pure Lemon Pledge.

It smells like lemons, it tastes like lemons.

A branch that broke recently and that I've had drying since then has proven to be a really good stone, even though it's still wet. Under 30x magnification, the trich heads are all mostly cloudy, with some amber triches.

Here is the main Jack The Ripper (there's two total):

There was a pleasant surprise with this Jack The Ripper mother, however. Jack The Ripper is known to produce secondary saplings from the roots, having two unique plants growing from one seed.

It's quite a sight, but I was able to successfully (carefully) remove the smaller secondary shoot, transplant into a fresh bucket of soil, and here are the results:

Sorry I wasn't able to update more during the summer, but my camera died, and I didn't wanna upload the cell phone pics I took. I didn't think they were of documentation-quality.

I only applied a liquid fertilizer 4-5 times throughout it's entire life, careful not to pollute it with any unnecessary chemicals.

I already know I did a good job with the Jack (all things considered), because even when I burn the wet/barely dry buds, I still get a nice fluffy white ash at the end...very little nitrogen is remaining.

Other than the 4-5 liquid fertilizer applications, I just watered using normal tap water...PAINFULLY and NERVOUSLY packed in....all......summer....long.

Had some close calls, and I'm not celebrating too much until I have these girls cut down and hanging.

Promise to finish this journal up and to update accordingly.

Thanks for taking a look!

Thanks D. I know they look like crap, but I'm just happy I got great bud, and seed from the one mother.

Pure Lemon!

Looks like the clone will be the healthier and ironically better-yielding of the two.

You're gonna be more than pleased with your Jack The Ripper's Dirty.

I've seen a few of your grows, and I'm always impressed as hell with the size/quality you're able to pump out.

Thanks for stopping by brother...I'll have more updates in the near future, and a video I'll be uploading a little later.
