For my new grow box, I knew I would have a problem watering my girls once the canopy got to thick. So before any of that, I went ahead and rigged up gravity watering system and its been working great so far.
You'll need-
-Water bottle
-Vinyl tubing, 3 or 4 port air line vavle
- electric tape
Cut the bottle in half and mount it upside down in the side of your grow area, but at least a foot or two above your pots.
Cut a hole in the bottle top and run a short piece of tubing from the bottle top to the valve/splitter. Secure them with tape.
From each outlet on the valve, run a lenght of tubing into your grow tent and to one of your pots. Use a piece of bent coat hanger wire shaped like a "u" to secure the tube in the soil near the base of the plant.
Repeat for each pot. If you have 4 plants, you should have 4 lines, one running to each pot.
To water, you simply open the valves to the pots that you want to water( all 4, just one, etc) a begin pouring your water/nutes in the reservoir and you'll see it running into your pots. It doesn't get any easier than that.
I've added some pictures also. Any thoughts?
