Pro-tekt helps against cold, heat, drought, insects, and other problems our plants encounter. Supposed to be good stuff. I am going to switch to all dyna-gro products as the contain all 16 macro and micro nutes. Hopefully be less guess work.

I used it every other time I'd feed them or 2 Jack then a Pro-teKt. He might mix w/ nutes I don't remember either. Suppose to help for all those things you mention.

It also aids with the up-take of your nutrients. It does mess with the PH though so I have to use Cider Vinager to bring down the PH to 6.5. It also does not totaly dissolve when mixed with other nutes so I use it when I water only at 1/4 strength.

What about the tiger bloom and other Fox Farm nutes? aren't they pretty good?

Well I'm not knocking any other product. Especially Fox Farms which is tried and trued. But all other nutes are incomplete, lacking the trace minerals like boron, or mag, or cal, etc. Fox Farms is bad for pH stability, which is not bad for soil, but I plan a hempy soon, and I would like a go at DWC as well sometime. Homebrewer is doing a flower comparison of Dyna-Gro bloom against GH products (can't remember exactly which line) in an ebb and flo and the pH of Dyna-gro never changes, where the GH needs maintenance a few times a week. I am really just trying to take the guess work out cause I know they get everything from 1 bottle, pretty Much.

I have not hit the nute stage so i am trying to get caught up. So DynGro is great for easy pH maintenance for the most part?

What is a hempy?

I would like to go DWC with maybe one of my purchased seeds. CraztTrain had a successful grow with his PC DWC... but he went back to soil. Thins the maintenance of the DWC was more than soil. Anyhow, I'll be over here in the corner popping my cherry.

from my research and use so far with dyna-gro is much more ph stability.

hempy is a soiless grow with pure perlite or coca. the container has a no holes in the very bottom only one or 2 about 2 inches up. this creates a rez for water and nutes to stay. its a passive hydro. less work

i think DWC is a lot of maintenance for folks that dont have to adjust pH for the water they use in their soil. My tap water comes out less than 5, so i have to adjust either way. dyna-gro makes it easier cause i will only have to adjust once a week.

well just remember nutrients really mess with pH, depending on the nutes you use. i def say to try hydro. but lets get these 4 he/shes through flower!!

I may have an issue with one of mine. Check my journal and see what I mean. One seedling looks to be unhealthy. and yes, I got to cut my teeth on these four. thanks to your help, before I go dwc.

I have an ak48 that has sprouted and is 12/12 from seed, a bit unorganised i know lol

Hey gum have found someone locally that has two empty towers and maybe some fans I can have for free :) here's to me having it running by the end of tomorrow!!! Gonna have to get some of that stuff to make some light traps as you have done looks like the best way

Hey man. I saw in a post that you were using Ona gel. I'll admit I skimmed through quickly to see if you ever had to change it up, so I'm sorry if I missed it, but did that Ona gel kill the smell well enough or did you have to go with a carbon filter?

Im wondering the same, what i have planned to use is the replacement carbon sheets for cookers and just fit it over the exhaust as long as the fan doesnt struggle to much, but if ona does the trick i may try that

ONA worked well for me. but if your growing a skunk or a white family, which i read can be very stinky, you may need some extra help. you only really need it during flower, so i havent used it on this grow. but i do have some carbon sheets in case this lemon skunk overwhelms the smell. i also think the stinkier the smell, the faster the ONA will get used.

I saw a pc case grow done by v12xjs and he seemed to stick with strains like northernlights due to them having low odour, i had a quick look through his thread and i dont think he even used odour control!!

Looks like he has left RIU though, shame looked like an awesome pc grow to follow. maybe he will come back soon?

My first strain is ak48 which is gonna be a problem with smell but hopefully i can keep it under control

so here are a few from just now. bagView attachment 1191629seed has been flowering 5 days. lemon skunk nothing yet. they are both still small, but the bagseed is bigger by far with the LST. i may start sView attachment 1191628ome lst on the lemon skunk next watering, maye get some extra spread out of it.
