Got my fingers crossed for the lemon skunk mate, bad luck doesn't last forever and things will come good soon.

well the lemon skunk was germed on monday Sept 6th, checked it tonight and it had a little white tap root sticking out, so i stuck it 1/4" in a 16 oz cup of soil and covered with my baggy!! fingers crossed it will pop by weeks end. soil was just dampened, then stirred up, then checked for good moisture, everything should be good.

I lost 4 seedlings because of that damn lime issue.
I did however mix in lime when I transplanted.
Also I sprinkle some on top of the flowering girls soil once in a while.
Gum those LS are going to be sick you just wait.

That Lemon Skunk I tried was half ass grown, and still had the most lemon taste I've ever had. I bet you'll kick ass with it.

thanks guys! i think i did everything right here this time. i aint gonna take the plastic baggy off till i have a sprout. all those bag seeds failing can really mess with confidence a bit. but those seeds were old too, and the LS is pretty new.

on a side note, one of the 2 plants i started with is still a live, dont know how. it hasnt grown, still looks like a seedling! i just cant kill it. it had a lot of red, and i read it needed some food, so I gave it a very SMALL amount, well it shocked it. next day leaves were curling!!! i transplanted it again for fun, and its a little greener. its more of a test than anything, but i cant kill a plant!!

12/12 her whole life and showed sex but absolutely would not flower.
It hurt to kill her she was a monster

i had this exact thing happen to me once aswell, when i started my first grow with ak48 i got given a bagseed from a friend that was started the same time and by the time the ak's were done she only had a few hairs!!! she showed sex at the normal time just didnt do anything else wierd

Hey Gumball, I wanted to ask you about your Ballast. Did you have to put it together yourself or was it in a case? also your cool tube, I read somewhere that you lose the UV output from the cmh with a cool tube??

hey WWShadow! yes, i did have to put the ballast together myself, but it was fairly simple. there are a couple of electricians on here which help folks out, and i put together a diagram and had them ok it. if you get one and need some help assembling it pm me, i will try to dig up my diagram.

yes, the material used for heat shielding or cool tube may block UV. i was using a lantern globe as a cool tube, but i changed to a acrylic heat shield. i did some research and found that my heat shield has a 10-20% UV transmittance. i would think you could find another brand of acrylic (mines duraplex by optix) that lets more UV through. good luck

I'm still waiting on the lemon skunk, but I think it is just slow.

One of the original bagseeds to this case grow is starting to grow again! Don't know what's up there.

I have also germed a recently gifted royal kush seed yesterday morning. Maybe things will pick up for me.

We recently freed up an old cabinet in the house. I have been slowly thinking of a design to make it the flower cab and the pc the mum cab. Maybe after a harvest in the pc I will have something ready for a second harvest. Its twice the size of the pc, and thinking a 100 watt HPS with CFL side light, or just a 150watt HPS

Your grow sure is coming along nicely!! Maybe one day I too will have the space for that!

why wouldn't you use the cmh in the flower cab since the UV increases resin/trich production? the best plant so far that I've had vegged under 2 42 watt cfls

I may, I don't know for sure. It is a ways off and still just a bunch of ideas in my head now. I would like a space big enough for HPS & CMH, but I would have to find something else for that. Bunches of ideas though

I can go back to the garage, but I really want something like maturesnoker has, a little end table cabinet/hutch type thing. That way I can keep it inside. I have something a little less than half the size of the garage cab now. If the wife would let me bring that in it'd be cool, but not till I finish our bonus room. And with her out of work all projects are kinda on hold. I may flower something in there this fall if I need the space!!

Well finally have something better than nothing to report fellow growers!! the lemon skunk sprouted this morning. it had the seed hull on it at 3:30 when i came home from work, and when i checked it at 9:20 the seed hull was gone, and it was a ball with the coty's and the first set of leaves all balled up!! I was glad to see it! i tried to get a good pic of it, but no good angles. took 4 days to sprout, but sprout it did!!

i took a few pics of the bag seed i kept for the hell of it. it has grown since i fed it, then it showed me it didnt like it, and i transplanted it. that started on Sep 4th, and i transplanted the next day on the 5th when it was clearly worse. well it has probably grown a half inch to an inch since i transplanted. i have been bottom feeding it with plain water for now.

finally a few pics of the case since i havent updated in a while. v12 you can see the vent for intake which you linked me to, worked great!! the double spaced section up top is too much and lets light in. so i have to take it out and remove the spacers but otherwise it is great.
