Gun Control

A lot of people, me included, are looking for the big Ranch in the sky. I would dearly love to have a couple thousand acre ranch in a nice little western USA valley with streams and a lake and a waterfall for hydro-power, a landing strip for my airplane, Oh wait I'm sounding like Ted Turner or Sir Richard Branson, my God man Wake up, A one story flat in the getto (Barrio) is my demise. I guess I'd better start liking it, and really, I do. My Mexican neighbors are friendly and helpful, sometimes their fiestas (partys) get a little loud at triple drunk time, but it's bearable, if not entertaining. Can you imagine a Mariachi karioki, a real loud bunch of noise, only on weekend nights though! When I bought my house in a middle class neighborhood 15 years ago, there weren't any mexicans to be seen, Now every time a house sells, a mexican family buys it. Viva Mexico North. The mexicans have stated that they're taking back northern mexico, and by God they're doin it!

The problem with that logic is the existance of home invasions, roving gangs and just general sickos. I hate to quote a bumper sticker, but 'if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns'. You can't go back to 18th century America and make it otherwise (if you were able to, we'd likely still be under British rule, maybe even Spanish), and we're too ensconced in the gun culture to turn back.

I myself own several pistols and a 12gauge, all legally registered, properly maintained and deftly wielded. I've been shooting for about 19 years, over half my life. I missed the opportunity to get a nice AR back before the idiots in the federal and state gov't banned them. Now that the fed ban is off I still can't get a decent rifle here in Kalifornia.

I second that sentiment, I'm always looking for land out of state.

Yup I moved out of that northern mexico state about 18 years ago, I agree they have restrictive gun laws and 10 million illegals. The only problem with moving to Nevada, I must have brought the illegals with me because in the last ten years the population of illegals has risen from maybe 40,000 to 3-5 hundred grand. In my tract alone there is about 40-50% Mexicans. when I moved in 17 years ago there was maybe 5-10%. I've personally got nothing against Mexicans, Ive got a couple of life long friends that are Mexican. The thing is, they scoop up all the free bennies and send their money to Mexico. A real burden on the system. Kalifornia, I don't even like going there to visit. My son lives there and we have some friends there. The good thing about living in Vegas is most of our friends like to come here, so we don't have to go there as much. Once every 4-5 years is enough for me! I can't carry my colt .45 legally in Kalifornia, here in vegas, I've a carry permit. what a good feeling it is to be strapped!

I live in both a blue state where I can't have a handgun in my house, and a red state where I've got a CCW permit and a .357 (Taurus 602) I have never killed anyone in either state.

I love guns, (I envy Widow maker and his collection), I had the chance to shoot before, but never had the pleasure of owning my own.

I have a thing for Rugers or a Walther PPK (James Bond Gun). I love the guns that Assasins use in movies. Oh and Silencers <---love them. Don't ask me why, but when I see those little Bastards with a silencer on them, I get a fuzzy feeling all over.

A surprise, yeah I've got a 1911 .45acp tricked out, but Ive got a few other weapons that if it came to a showdown, you'd be surprised. I've stated several time here that I don't ever want to shoot anyone, I might make an exception in your case though, one less Nazi-fascist-Neo-con corporate asshole more or less wouldn't make much of a difference! Justice would be served! Did I mention that I scored the highest score ever on the range in my batallion, I've held the record for years. Can shoot the eye out of a hummingbird at 100 yards. Unlike you, Med ... and I know you won't believe this, but the emotion of jealousy and envy isn't part of my persona. When someone else succeeds, I'm happy for that person and his/her success. If someone has more talent than I in a certain area, I admire the talent, I do not envy it. Your entire political makeup is based upon jealousy and envy. Mine is based upon achievment and striving for the best. That's the difference between you and I.

The football they play in the rest of the world.

USA were very disappointing in the last world cup, everybody was expecting so much more from them this time around.

I used to have a madden American Football game for the PS2 and that was quite enjoyable to play. I like all sports, playing more than watching. I know i'm very competitive because I hate losing. I'm not a bad loser, I just don't like it. Makes me more determined to win next time.
