H20 Question Help Me OUT!! please

i have a seedling in a root riot plug its 1 week old with 2 sets of leaves my question is how often do i water it to promote root growth to spread to the hydroton in my waterfarm drip system? im watering by hand cuz water doesent reach the center of the cube well from the drip ring

You have the right idea. I always hand water for the first 2 weeks. I water usually only once a day.. I want the roots to grow out searching for water, so it sounds like you have a handle on it.

for sure thanks im just worried cuz its been a week and still theroots are not reaching out from the cube into the balls

I missed an important part of the info...
stop watering the cubes. You want to water around the cubes. I do this by hand so I don't get the cubes soaked..
The rock wool holds water really well, and as it slowly gets used up the roots go out in search of water..

Sounds like your doing well. It's better to give them less water, rather then more water, when trying to find the perfect amount. One of the biggest mistakes by new growers is over-watering, but it sounds like you're on the right track! Once the plant is big enough, pour enough water to get ALL of the soil in the container wet. This will help make the roots stretch to the full perimeter of the medium.

thanks for the help guys much appreciated only thing is im not growing in Rockwool cubes im using root riot plugs there like a coco sponge material if i had to describe em but they dry out waaay faster than rockwool and im growing in a waterfarm by GH its a top feed drip hydro unit with hydroton rocks but the drippers dont saturate the top few inches well in the middle of the unit with its drip ring that circles the top of the media but i am now watering around the cube as apposed to right on it except a small amount to keep the top moist and make sure the water reaches the root zone
