h2o2 amounts

I've looked around and found threads stating to use 30ml/gal of 3% sollution.

I intend to buy 12% solution so I worked it out to be 2ml/l for the same ratio.

However what I can't find from searching is the frequency?

As soon as we put h2o2 in the reservoir it degrades within a few hours as far as I know so after 24 hours you no longer have any in the reservoir.

I always ran teas in my reservoir until now... only problem with teas are that they don't stop algae growing in the side of my aero cloner when it gets splashed.

How often do you guys usually put h2o2 in the res to stop algae?

Forget H2O2. Run a sterile res by using SM90 or some other similar product that helps inhibit bacteria blooms.

That's all you need and it keeps the lines from gunking up as well for RDWC, also running a res at 64F-68F if possible is best for the most avalible "DO"

The warmer the res the more likelihood you'll need an bacterial inhibitor.

that's the problem with peroxide in a nutshell. is it all gone, is some left, is a lot left?

i like HTH pool shock personally to run a sterile res.

this run i've been using beneficial bacteria similar to hydroguard and it works well too.

the canadian products are different. i think it's the first on that page you linked.

whichever one is 52% calcium hypochlorite is what you want

0.10 grams per 10 gallons water is 1ppm free chlorine. i run 3 ppm or 0.3g. up to 5ppm is safe for humans and plants

a 1LB bag will last you a decade maybe?? lol

Thanks guys I might try this out my government decided to pull SM90 and other GH products away from my LGS, was visiting today and got word... restrictions or some stupid crap. Something wierd is happening ...
