I went from Rio de Janeiro to the southwestern desert, to so. cal. to the great white midwest...

Yep, Insanity is a serious HIIT program. It DOES work.

Now, I'm going to break routine and go swim early. LoL. As far as the kids, etc. None allowed in the pool area, at all. And, Early (5:00 until about 7:00) the pool's all mine, and again late at night (9:00 or so.) Might have a random interloper, but they always go away after a little while.

I'm having a mental orgasm thinking about the pool. Is that a little too much? You betcha! :)

I love when nobody is around and the pool is all yours to toss your arms and legs in.

Maybe I'll look into insanity... I need to do something with this body before it falls apart...

I forgot to add on topic relevancy! I smoke 2 packs a day, on average. I only cough when I'm around extreme environmental irritants (heavy perfume actually chokes the shit outta me!) or when I spend a weekend vegging with the boss lady, smokin' the hookahs with a bit of honey mixed into the shisha.

It's not bad at all realy. Just boring. So yeah, during breaks I go outside and smoke a cig with my managers. Or I go to my car and smoke.
I worked at a wal-mart once. was fun when it lasted. I hooked up with and got to bone a lot of solid chicks that worked there. even hooked up with a lot of bad ass female customers too, lol. true story. I was the customer service specialist of the store, lol

The rest of your body? Are you disabled?

Breathing exercises are the only way to "simulate" the effect of cardio upon the cardiovascular system. You'd basically be doing cardio without going anywhere. Even if you can wave your arms around until you're fucking tired once a day, that's cardio.

It tends to make you feel better in general anyway. You might want to try it, instead of making excuses! haha.
Yes, I am disabled! If my heart rate goes up I get sick, I vomit and am in physical pain every day! I workout when I can but 19 out of 20 days I can barely get off the couch! I use to climb mountains, train muay thai and bjj but now I'm a 6'4 160lbs couch potato. not many people can be a couch potato like me and still be skin and bones. ***hack, hack***

If there is no permanent scarring from smoking the lungs will actually start to recover within 24 hrs of cessation. The longer someone has smoked and the amount smoked will determine the length of time to recovery, but studies have shown that someone who smoked a pack a day for 15 yrs had the lungs of a non-smoker within 10yrs of stopping.

That's not to say that "everyone" is going to be so lucky, but again....if there has been no scarring or other permanent damage, the lungs will recover.

The phlegm is just your lungs catching the silt and other crap we breath everyday, since smoking has damaged the cilia hairs at the top of your lungs as well as the ones found in your nose {this too will take time to recover}it's their job to catch all the dirt, so this nasty side effect that will last longer than most would like.

The concern I would have is if the "lung butter" turned bloody or yellow/green in hue, these tend to mean an infection has taken hold or other more serious issues are underlying the cause of phlegm production, such as C.O.P.D.

Another easy way of trying to loosen the phlegm is simply deep breathing exercises.

Cool pics, bummer about illness. I wasn't trying to insult, I was just putting the two posts together and commenting on swimming being great. But, definitely not with a serious heart issue!

The pic made me wanna :spew:

I know the feeling though! I still cough up that crap even after quitting cigarettes all together AND solely using a vape.
