This is true, a lot of products aren't engineered or built to be as leak-proof as weed growers need them to be.

And if that fan controller is vector controlled (field-oriented control (FOC) ) it will most likely reduce hum.

I think instead of frictionless they mean less friction than an AC on a fan speed controller (hum)
The reason I'm asking online is these guys with the silent revolution fan refuse to show a video, becoming tempted to just go to a hydro shop and say I'm not buying unless they unpack it and show me

I usually carry a wad of cash with me when I plan to have stores open something up and show me on the spot.
Just pull out the wad and tell them: I'm here to spend money if that does what you say it does.
Keep in mind fans get louder under load.

I have 2 6" on my tent turned down the real noise is from the humming rather than the airflow I'll happily pay for 2 ECs if I could get them 200 each but they're like hello £500+
The thought of 1 12" running the double square foot tent isnt to my liking I think it will be louder
Also planning getting smaller clip on oscillation fans(cheap 12" are way overpowered)
closed cell foam underneither the tent
I'm not sure if upgrading to a budboxpro (steel frames) from cheap amazon tents is going to help the matter but its sexy I'm doing it
