Gonna keep my eye on this one, good luck!
Dont cut the top leaves!! They are solar panels and provide the plant with energy. Your side lights will provide the lower shelves with light if you aimed em properly.. Toping the plant is fine but dont remove leaves to give other ones light, the more the light travels to the lower branches it looses its intensity(or effect)

My link is now at the bottom of my sig btw.. check it out and lemme know what u think. Ill get some new pics tomorrow if I have the time.
Thanks for the advice. I do adjust the lower lights but, I did trim some lower fan leaves (they as big as my hand) as they were blocking out a lot of light. I won't trim the top ones but I did tuck a few of them under. As soon as I can sex them, I'll pull the males and then I should have more room for the ladies to dance.

I'll get some fresh pix up Sunday nite. I'm going to try and upload new pix every week.

Yeah, I was just funnin you guys. Everybody puts down the little AG because it's not a cash cow but all I want is some primo bud for myself.:hump:
No kidding, plus, not everyone wants their apartment to smell like a weed factory because they're yielding a pound at a time.

Also my nutrients recomend to change every week and just top water and adjust PH in between. Yours may be different but check how much nutes your loosing in those 2 weeks.
Have your roots rotted, Why are you adding H202?
I change the res every 2 weeks, which is what the For Farm schedule recommends. I top with Ph'd tap water unless my ppm drops a lot.I use a ppm meter daily so I can adjust nute to the appetite of the plants and I check the Ph as well to keep it in line. Now I'm around 1100-1200 (adjusted for my 300 pph tap water) and my Ph is 5.2-5.5.

I used the H2O2 because I had some algie on 1 on the roots that was getting a bit of light from the AG door being open a bit for the air stone line. Now that I think about it, the H2O2 prolly just fed the algie, which is still there. I have taped over the area that was getting light so I hope it just goes away. It's tough being a newbie!

word. i think once i get a little more into this, or at least get better seeds, i'm going to be more meticulous. i mix my nutes in a gallon of distilled, ph test it, fill the res. i go about a week between refills because i have been slowly working up to a strong growth concentration. other than that, i just leave em alone. top em when they need it and raise the lights when it needs it. i've been experimenting with a mylar survival blanket and it seems to be helping.

Yes, genetics are key. I used bottled water the first 4 weeks @ $1.19/gal. That bottled water will get really expensive as the plants grow. Right now, at this lowly veg stage, I'm using 2 1/2 - 3 gals a week. I am topping with plain Ph'd water daily. I fill it up to the very top. It's really sucking it up. Later on, it'll drink up to a gallon a day from what I've read on here.

Also, I flush the res every 2 weeks so that's another gallon. I just got a quart of CLEAREX today to flush out salt deposits when I change the res water. Fox farm recommends flushing like this in their feeding schedule.

I may be messing around with it too much but since this is my first attempt I'm trying to keep on top of it all and I am having fun so what the hell!

Hope I dont kill 'em before their finished.

Those Rescue Blankets you mentioned work really well and they are under $2 each.

Need some help. I'm unclear on how to use CLEAREX.

I'm in the 5th week of my grow from seed. The tap water I use in my 1 gal. AG200 has a ppm of 300. I'm also using Fox Farm nutes. On the FF site, the feeding schedule recommends flushing every res. change (every 2 weeks). I bought some CLEAREX and the directions say 1 tsp/gal and to let it cycle for 15 minutes.

I've changed the res but never flushed it to eleminate salt deposits.

I have some questions for you folks:

1) How do I do this. Do I drain the res and pour in the water & Clearex solution with my plants in it, then let it cycle then drain it and refil it with the normal nute soup.... or what???

2) Do any of you do this to prevent salt buildup in the AG or do you just flush at the end of the grow to leach out chemicals? or do you flush at all.

Any input is appreciated.

Keep in mind I'm using tap water with a ppm of 300
