Hand held electric trimmer

This tool is not for everyone but if you have a lot of bud to trim but not enough to warrant one of those high cost bud combines they sell for thousands of $$$$ this might help.

I went to Harbor Freight and bought an electric rotary tool, It's like a Dremel tool but this one cost me 9 bucks with a 50% off coupon. I took the barrel sander attachment and removed the compression washer and the barrel sander. I placed a small piece of weed eater line on top of the compression grommet and replaced the washer and screwed it down. Now I have a hand held mini weed eater I will dub "The Bud Trimmer" Model #420

I usually have to trim 40 plants in a perpetual grow every 2-3 weeks and my girlfriend and I have spent up to 8 hours trimming. This has cut trim time by 75% and does just as good as hand trimming on a commercial level. But you will have to wear eye protection when you it because it throws of a lot of tiny fragments of leaf matter and if any gets in your eyes it burn like a mofo

I like it. Have some rep!!

Have you heard of the Ardvark? Its like a Flo Bee, which you can still buy, and im almost considering because yea, trimming for 4 hours for two days every month sucks. I would hook it up to a very small shopvac and use it exclusively for cannabis.

I guess maybe if you drilled a hole through the blade and attached it using the compression bolt it might work but you might also lose a finger so its still a bad idea to use a blade. a hard line will move out of the way of your finger but a sharp rigid blade will not. soo I really hope tehkilla reads and considers my words i would not want anyone to lose a finger. you do need them to roll joints and blunts you know.

agreed. you could certainly keep it attached, just like a regular dremel cutting disc etc, but as you say, it would just be too easy to do some really devastating damage. i'd be fucked in the head if i chopped off a finger, and then to know i did it by trying to be clever and lazy at the same time, i'd go mad!

for large scale trimming that looks damned good :) but i like to be a lot lot more thourough than that, call me lazy? (i like to trim it all as clean as is possible so i spend less time picking hard stalks outta the grinder )

hey maybe you could find a way to attach a guard to one side so that 180degrees or so are guarded that way shit don't fly as much. I like the 20lbs test line idea also but I would be trying a bunch of different things except of course solid blades.
