Hang or Dry Net

Hey guys,

I have used a dry net and the hanging method when drying my bud, but cant tell which I like better. I might be leaning more toward hanging since sometimes it seems the bud in the nets gets too dry...Although that might have been because my humidity levels were to low.

Which do you guys like better?

I hang em. It works well for me. Some use the bud drying system with the trays and all that fancy stuff, but for me I hang em in the attic of an outdoor shed and it works great for me. They never get too dry but just right after just a few days, usually 3 days, then I put them in quart glass canning jars in the basement with lid off for 48 hrs then the lids go on and leave till I need it. Always have nice sticky buds, look, smell and taste great. If you keep it simple it will pay off. Just my .02, hope it helped, Happy harvest

How do you clean the nets? I have one that wasn't stored properly, in my basement, and I'd like to give it a good wash/ sterilizing before i use it again. Think mixing up some bleach/ laundry soap in the tub will work? I'd like to toss it in the washer but it's got a metal support frame...

I prefer hanging it over using net. I don't get too fancy with hanging it either. Just a piece of clothes line.

I use my drying rack... i hate drying 4ft of stalk that ill trim off later anyhow, once its almost dry...

harvest, hang, trim, finish drying, jar, burp, done....
vs,
harvest, dry, jar, burp, done....

in keeping it simple, i also prefer to work smarter, not harder...

FYI tomato cages make great drying hangers. bend one of the stakes that normally go in the ground to hang it upside down. Then you get 3 levels of 360degrees to hang by. they hold a lot of material/weight for what they are, just leave a small side branch to hang it by.

I prefer hanging. I find that the extra moisture in the large stems slows the drying process down which is what I'm looking for. Bud that dry too quickly usually end up not tasting as good or smoking as well as stuff that dries a bit slower. To each their own I guess.

I use nets but i also like to use stalk moisture to slow the process down , i grow single cola sog & end up with massive 2 ounce colas , instead of tearing them down i leave the fat stalk in the center for its moisture , i like racks better for space reasons too & you can catch all the kief that falls off while drying .

I line the bottom rack with plastic & end up with a shit ton of kief that woulda hit the floor other wise .

First I soaked in a 10% bleach/water solution than ran it under cold water while scrubbing with a wash cloth.

I supposed freezing it would work after a harvest which would cause the trichs to harden, then you could soak it in some 91% iso, filter through a few strainers/coffe filters and let the solution sit out for a couple days.. After the iso evaporates, you'd have yourself some nice low grade qwiso hash that you got from simply washing your nets :bigjoint:
