Harvest/dry/cure tips for battling PM?

Hey everyone. I've got some plants that have 2, 3, and 4 weeks left of flowering (Space Queen, Jack the Ripper, then White Widow). I've been battling a very minor case of powdery mildew using a potassium bicarbonate spray (Bi-Carb Old fashioned fungicide). It's been working ok just with a weekly spray (other than the pistil damage).

My question is, if there are no visible patches of mildew when I harvest, would it be safe to do a regular slow hang dry and cure? Or do I NEED to do a quick dry, or dry at very low humidity?

I have a dark area and a dehumidifier. How do you handle this kind of situation to make sure PM doesn't rear it's head during drying?

Thanks for any help!!!

Check it out man, I encountered the same problem this year. What I did was harvest the bud and trim carefully all of the powdery mildew that you can see. At this point I hund dry and cured as normal keeping a very close eye on my buds. I had no problems with the PM regrowing while hanging or curing.

Holy shit that's nice to hear!!! It hasn't gotten to my buds at all, I've just been spot treating and removing affected leaves. I think my routine is gonna keep it (mostly) at bay til harvest, so I should be good!

If it's not affecting your buds it shouldn't really be a concern when harvesting. Check on your buds daily when drying them, if you do see powdery mildew forming then you may want to speed up the drying process.

Thanks Bud Tipps. So here's my plan.

-Give them one last spray-down with bi-carb 3 days before chop.

-Chop branch by branch, remove all
but sugar leaves.

-Hang branches in dark at about 45% himidity (unless someone has a
better idea for RH?). There will be a fan moving lots of air in the room, but not blowing directly on the buds.

-When stems snap instead of bend (about a week after hanging) I'll finish manicuring, separate individual nugs from branches, and jar up for curing.

Or... Should I trim completely while wet to get better airflow around the
buds while hanging? Last time I left the sugar leaves on while hanging, then trimmed them
off before jarring...

I dried regularly. I sprayed down my plant two days before harvest, really good, and then trimmed after i chopped it. I had real bad Powdery Mildew, but with great care, its gone. My buds look and smell great. Even smokes smooth. Don't have too much moister in your drying area.
