Harvest now OR wait til later?

I currently have a couple chronic (blueberry) plants growing outdoors in some pots right now. It currently reaches 85 degrees during the day, 63 degrees during night - the buds are getting large and I am contemplating harvesting now.

Should I cut them or if I wait will they get bigger? Also, when is the appropriate time frame to harvest? How will I know?

the best way to tell if it is the right time to harvest is to look at the trichmes (the crystals on the buds) You can buy a handheld microscope at radio shack, the best time to harvest are when the trichimes are cloudy with a bit of amber. Check out the grow faq, top left to getter an idea of what to look for.

What they said ^^^^

If they are outside people usually harvest outdoor plants Oct 31

a general way to tell is when 60-100% of the white hairs have turned brown/orange. it's not 100% acurate, but if you can't see the trichs then this way will help you judge.

You might be a little anxious lol. Just wait for the trichmes to turn 75% amber. Then harvest.

I think 75% amber trichs is a little too much. I cut mine at 10% amber - 90% cloudy.
Depends on what kind of high you want.
More amber trichs - more body, heavy high
More clear/cloudy mix - more head high

I agree with Reiss. If you let them go too far (get too dark), they start to decrease in THC and deteriorate. I do mine when there mostly cloudy, with a few still clear and a little bit of amber color. Like he said though (I'm assuming he, no offense), it depends what kind of high you're looking for.
