Week 7 flower on 8 week strain I hit some root zones issues causing 2 point ph drops over night 6.2-4.2 that was fixed with an h2o2 flush that’s why their signs of nute burn from lockout no loop so I can’t go buy the tricombs unfortunately theirs maby 1-2 white hairs on each bud the rest are completely orang and shriveled

Looks like the nute burn was there prior to the root issue. But at this point it don’t matter. I typically judge my harvest time by trichs, and supplier dates for finish times are mere guidelines, not set in stone. Can you get more up close pics of the buds?

Theres a lot more to it than just Trichome heads.

trcihs depending upon where you look can mislead you.

When you say you’re at week 7 of an 8 week strain is that 7 weeks of 12/12 lighting or 7 weeks from when the first onset of flowers started?

Because those 2 time periods vary greatly.

if it’s 7 weeks since starting 12/12 your plants are most likely only 5 weeks into flowering.

for example.

Dinafem critical + is a supposedly 55 day strain.

This is day 43 of 12/12.

You telling me they’ve got 12 days left until u harvest? NO.

because stretch (the transition time the plant takes to begin flowering responses) is still classed as veg time.

in nature plants convert to flowering over a number of weeks of sunlight reduction.

indoor growing it takes 7-21 days of 12/12 for the plant to divert its energy into flower Setting before flowering actually begins

They both started throwing hairs on day 4 of 12/12 also theirs been no new hairs for about a week now are u saying I should wait 2 weeks? If you think the buds will stack and increase my yeild I’ll go down right now and stop the flush

My experience says that you should add three weeks to that number. Three weeks is the amount of time the plant "stretches" itself into flower mode after being put into a flowering light condition (ie. 12/12).

So now, look at it this way... you have an 11 week plant that is currently in week seven. It very likely will be done before or around 11 weeks. If you see 11 weeks in your head (or on paper), you're far less likely to cut too early and throw away a percentage of both quality and quantity.

First day I flip to 12/12. Doesn't matter if the plant is a seed or if it has vegged for eight weeks.

I then add three weeks (21 days) to what I think (or have read) what the flower time is.

If (mostly when) the plants finish before that, I'm rather happy. If they take a bit longer, I'm patient.

I ran into root zone issues and right after that she stopped throwing any new hairs and I’m starting to see more and ,ore amber I’m worried if I do wait she will degrade
 
So your saying untill you start seeing actual buds as in little buttons of hair sprout up it’s not day 1 yet? Iv heard this before on another forum that some guys don’t start day 1 untill they see “buttons”
