Damn!!! Other than all the perfect growing conditions, would you say that fimming is a huge part of your large yield? I mean, an average of 4.4 ounces per plant is not too shabby at all. When do you usually fim? During veg, flower, or both? Teach me!!!

my conditions werent perfect the entire grow.. it wasnt until right before flowering that i finally got things under control all the way around... but for a while i was suffering from 90+ degree air temps.. 85+ degree res temps.. an encounter with a failed pump leading to nute burn.. just a bunch of dumb shit... hopefully the next grow does perfectly and i get the yields i really want..

anyways.. to your questions..

i fim during veg.. but i mostly spend time supercropping the shit out of my plants throughout veg.. to really bush them out and get a bunch of tops.. it also strengthens the limbs a lot which helps support big ass buds...

about a week or so before flowering i fim all the nice tops i got.. to make them produce as much as they can...

nope.. sure wasnt... i dont use co2.. i have 2 fresh air intakes in the room itself.. and the actual grow room is at the end of a hall with a window i kept open with a fan pushing air into the room... so the co2 levels are always good..

i was surprised they made it through it.. even small baby plants some how managed... just goes to show their will to survive as plants can be strong...

it mainly happened when i was constructing a dividing wall between my flower and veg room.. i did have an a/c until cooling the room at first that sat in the window that is now used as a fresh air intake (passive)... but i had to remove the ac because of the wall... it was after i removed the ac, and before i could get the wall up and the ventilation right, that the temps got so out of hand.. of course i chose to do it all during the hottest week of the summer too..

did u say that u cut off all your tops one week prior to flowering?????

no.... i dont think so... if i did i didnt mean to...

1) i super crop the shit out of my plants throughout the entire veg period to bush them out as much as possible..

2) a week before flowering i take clones (if i am doing so) and FIM the fuck out of the tops... i also do some lollipopping... this was there is still a few days before flowering for the plant to recoup... if i take clones i use the stuff i get from lollipopping to do so....

3) i give 24 to 36 hours of straight dark before switching to 12/12... this increases the rate of flowering by a lot, cuts flowering time down by about a week, and if you need to sex your plants allows it to be done about a week faster...

4) i give 24 hours of dark prior to the actual harvest to increase resin production..

how much of a difference have you noticed in the plants you have given 24 hours af darkness before harvest? or is this something tha you have always done because someone has told you it works better? it would be good to do a side by side grow of this because i have heard both sides of the story. it makes me wonder if some people just happen to get their trichomes swelling after the dark cycle and some get trichome swelling in the midst of the light cycle. i have noticed on my plant (and i am by no means an expert just giving my personal observations off of one plant) that the trichomes tend to swell and become MUCH more prominent thorughout the light cycle and eventually peak about 8 hours in. do you think that it is possible for plants trichomes to swell and recede some throughout the day or every couple days throughout flowering. if this is the case would it be best to harvest when you just see that they are swollen and not worry about the 24 hours of darkness? have you noticed any of the same? maybe im just noticing this stuff because i check my plants with my 30x loop every day for fun... sorry for the long post, just really curious and you seem to have decent knowledge and experience. thanks!
