That is a myth. I doubt that letting a plant go a little bit too long will radically change the way it effects a person. That would seem to be tied to genetics and environment.
If I let SLH go too long it is still not going to have a "couchlock" effect. That is ridiculous.
When THC has degraded and turned an amber color it is CBN. An amber trichome, CBN, has about 90% less THC than a cloudy trichome.
It is believed by many that CBN can have a nauseating effect.
Basically amber trichomes are rotten. I don't eat rotten food, why smoke rotten weed?
It is variety dependent, of course, but when I see amber trichomes on the leaves the plant is ready to be chopped. I don't want amber to start appearing on the buds.
