its not has cut and dry has that.. while amber is indeed the degrading of thc ur correct. the foolish beleafe that its making ur weed weaker is just wrong... how do we tell noobs when to harvest.... check the trichs... most people harvest when they see amber... soe who know better let them amber even more... fact.. buds harvested with 1/4 amber have a much longer lasting high then buds harvested all milky... don't let what dude said confuse u.. thc% is not all its cracked up to be.. ive had certai ogs coming in at 17% thc.. bloew my fucking mind waaaaaaay harder then super lemo haze clocked in at 23% thc... theres more to getting high then just thc.. we haven't even begins to study the other cannaboids and what they can do....

Now it looks like fake premature bud instead of just premature bud... n don't blame this site for pullin ur plants early. I guarantee nobody on this site told u that was ready before u pulled it. That food coloring trick is played out around here, when I see bud like that I rip a leaf off, spit in my hand, and rub the leaf in my spit. If its got food coloring in it ur spit will change color and bam! Cover blown... and that's when me n dude whos tryna sell me it have problems. My advice to u is to not try to sell that to anyone.

Well seeing as how premature ur weed is it probably doesn't take much to kill that buzz... so my bad, ill be quiet now n let u enjoy ur lil high while it lasts. Who the fuck food colors weed anyways? That's lame, get u some purple genetics n let it finish n u will have purple bud that tastes as good as it looks. Good luck with your future endeavors. I'm out this bitch.

i mean its cool that it changes color but i argee if i bought stuff like that i would and didnt get fuck fall asleep on the couch i would want my money back to. But its cool lesson learned huh. next time let it go longer

They were early, Trim dry, wet trim = chlorophyll smell/taste. food coloring is just absolutely retarded. you "heard" amber trichs degenerate thc.. sigh.. Well I guess something to smoke for personal, but if you want higher yeild and stronger potency WAIT.

Agree 100% bro. Exactly why I wanted whoever said it was bad to elaborate how amber is bad. I know that it is "degrading" but I still didn't get a reason why it was so bad. That's because it's not. Like theexpress said the foolish believe that it is making the weed weaker because its "degrading".

That is a myth. I doubt that letting a plant go a little bit too long will radically change the way it effects a person. That would seem to be tied to genetics and environment.

If I let SLH go too long it is still not going to have a "couchlock" effect. That is ridiculous.

When THC has degraded and turned an amber color it is CBN. An amber trichome, CBN, has about 90% less THC than a cloudy trichome.
It is believed by many that CBN can have a nauseating effect.

Basically amber trichomes are rotten. I don't eat rotten food, why smoke rotten weed?

It is variety dependent, of course, but when I see amber trichomes on the leaves the plant is ready to be chopped. I don't want amber to start appearing on the buds.
