Harvest question

First grow, done lots of reading about it but my main question is, will looking at your trichs under HPS change what you see? Will they appear cloudy or Amber when they really aren't? I have a camera with 21x zoom and I'm having a really hard time telling if they are cloudy or clear. I'm thinking of switching back to MH just for pics but it's hard in my grow space. Let me know if you do it under red HPS. Strain is supposed to be 53 day flower and I'm on day 49 so I know I've got another week or two but I'm just trying to make sure I'm ready to check it the right way. Thanks

Check your triches under normal ight conditions .... You can cut grow lights for a minute to view better.
Check triches at the calyx and check more than one bud.

Under an HPS, it's easier to distinguish clear v cloudy rather than cloudy v amber.

I put cardboard up to cover the light as much as I could. And my microscope has 5 led lights on it.
I also found that forcing flash and cardboard helped with pics

Taking some pics in normal lighting real quick isn't guna hurt anything ....like mentioned above .....and don't go by what the breeder or seller says go by what the plant/trichs say those numbers are just a rough guess not a sure thing by no means .....good luck

21x is probebly not enough for good look.

Yeah I'm gonna get a good loupe soon. I'm not worried about putting them under normal lights my problem is they are in a sealed room under a scrog and I can't move them and I have no other lighting near it lol. I could bring in a lamp I suppose.

or a flashlight...

Just clip a little sample and take it elsewhere to check.

that's what i used to do. i rarely check trichs anymore, just look for the 'done' look. it'll visibly change color, darker, more reddish, less green/white.

I use this with my phone and works great ....
And its under $5 ....
