Will cutting get during the night actually make a difference in THC? Very curious...oooooYea!
Cut her down in the dark while she is sleeping when she least expects it! you get MAXIMUM THC!!!!
GOOD JOB!
how could it possibly make a difference? does THC go away during the day? Will cutting get during the night actually make a difference in THC? Very curious...
This is what I'm asking... how will cutting it during the night or in darkness affect the THC%? Maybe we're not aware of something here, or Timmy the Toker was tokin when he said it...how could it possibly make a difference? does THC go away during the day?
There's been one more week and i didn't choped that baby yet. I still can't see amber trichs, only milky (70-80%) and clear(20-30%). Most of the pistils are red, so, by applying the "over 90% red pistils" rule, the plant should be ready for harvest, but the trichs are saying something else. What do you think?Hmm... this is one of those things in life where you'll never convince yourself for sure unless you try it. When my harvest is done I'll harvest part in the dark and part in the light and let ya know if the potency difference is noticeable.
dude some of the pistels may never turn! cut her dude 12 weeks is more than enough for WW you asre a trooper though! a man of patience ! good job, i cut my shit way early, still got great smoke, but i admire a beginner that can wait. i say with most confidence that cutting her now is totally ok. you will get great bud and a great high.
congrats
Well, the most professional way of handling this is by going by the trich color. If a strain is is sativa dominant, you won't usually end up with more than 30-40% red trichs. Also, at sativa dominant plants, the change from milky to red happens very late, so give it a bit more time...There's been one more week and i didn't choped that baby yet. Thanks man. I guess i will still wait for a few days, what do you say Doc, how many days do you think i should wait?listen to the doctor though he has a pretty decent grip on reality.
Oh, well you can certainly expect alot of change at the trichomes with a 24h darkness... I'd say another 3-4 days + 1 day darkness and you're all set. Thanks man. I guess i will still wait for a few days, what do you say Doc, how many days do you think i should wait?
ps: i'm asking that because i want to give her 24~36 hours of dark before chop and i have to schedule this very good.

Hello. Thanks for your opinion. Well, i'm not expecting double sized buds from 1 day of darkness, but the plant will sense the difference and will use all the energy collected during light hours to produce more bud, maybe it's a speed up process, maybe it isn't, it's only my first grow. Thanks again.darkness, this does nothing to increase potency. the 12 weeks prior are really what matter. how would taking away the energy source be good for a plant? and dont say it stresses the plant into some amazing resin producing trance. if you are going to do this, you should stick a rusty nail in the stalk, boil the roots and yell at the plant a few times to make it better (lol, dont do any of that, it was a joke)...just care for it as you would and cut it when it is ready. good luck
remember, there is nothing you can do in one day that will change things. you did well you were patient, that is what matters. late
Thanks man, i will leave her another day and then i'll chop her. What about giving her 24 hours of darkness before chop? I'm interested in your opinion also . And i don't get something, why doesn't have amber trichs? This is why i'm hesitating ... maybe someone can explaine me.that's done.
harvest it.
