Harvest?

I have two vey nice Kolas that are more mature than the other branches. I want to take the two Kola.s first. I have been given two options. The first is to take the small buds that small buds off the Kola individually about 14 inch from main stalk. The alternative is to just cut it off. The remaining growth should be well worth it.

I think I see what youre saying, and if so Id say cut the brach off....
I guess what are the disadvantages of each option haha

harvest the good bud and let the rest go another week
