hi guys im pretty new too all this riu ,im very very close too finishing my first grow !! haha happy days! super lemon haze and its turned out a dream for a first time. i chopped one of the side arms of the smallest plant, it weighed 20 grams wet soooooooooooo .....


i though id post a pic up of the bud seen as its my first grow and im absolutely buzzig my tits off lol ( sorry about the shitty pic quality new camera is coming soon! )

side branch sorry lad lol onyl weighs 11 today tho lol shame weed loses so much weight in thedryig process, dying to taste a big fat danky spliff off it but its not smokable yet haha any suggessions on how i can dry a few splifs rapid like now lad lol ??

you can try microwaving a few buds....
power level 30%.. put a dry paper towel in a bowl.. chop up a few buds... cover the top of the bowl with a moist paper towel.. hit it for like 30 seconds... take it out.. fan the bowl for a few seconds.. throw it back in 30% power for 1 minute.. repeat about 5-6 times (in my microwave anyway) and you should be able to smoke it. I've done it in a pinch, it's not great, but it works and although it won't be anything like the finished product.. you'll get high.

thanks for that mate! think im just guna throw a few small buds in the oven on low heat for 15 mins wrapped in tin foil, got no reserves like you mr murphy as its my first crop but i do have a bag of exodus cheese dust left from the oz i just smoked so it will do lol

Any type of quik dry is gonna be nothing like a properly dried and cured product will be. If you're one of those with no patience, you're simply gonna burn up something that may be really good later on...but to each his own....personally, I NEVER smoke anything I've grown until at least 2-3 week cure is done....

ok thanks mate! only drying like a 3 gram nugget to test and i no it wont be nothing like my end product, like when i harvest them all in 2 weeks time they will get hung for 2 weeks then cured in air tight jars......does that sound about right oldreefer ? im a total newb so all information is good info too me!

fuck the microwave dont bother this it wat u do but a couple small bud in a sealy bag leave it a bit open and put it on top of your light 400 or 400 on the refector and cover it up so no light will get to it and leave it there few hours nice and crispy

Congrats on your first grow, +rep. Any pics of your plant(s) atm?

Your buds will get much better with a proper cure, for sure...but nothing wrong with a little testing along the way, lol, I do it all the time. :mrgreen:

kev i wrapped it up in foil lad n threw it in the oven on low heat for 15 mins lol it was a little brown when i took it out but it was bone dry and smoked well and most importantly lad got me stoned,,, isnt tasting that great with the way i dried it but i think il just wait now til its hang dried and cured properly to savour the real taste lol



xebeche unfortunetly the camera isnt really good enough quality but il have some pics up asap mate!!

yea cheedarman but u shouldnt wrap in foil when the buds move the moisture go back in anyway dont worry bout it..sikkk guy heres sum rep..

Nice 1st grow, and a haze at that. Props man (in case you don't know, hazes are supposed to be harder to grow). Next time, buy a food dehydrator. It'll dry your bud out in a few hours. Still best to slow dry and cure everything.

nice one kev lad i kinda realised that after it had been in the oven for 15 mins lol oh well not long now couple more days and i can smoke and taste and see what my end product is guna be....fukin nice and potent i hope haha! that 20 g bud is now 7 g after hanging in a dark room for 2 days ,shouldnt think it will lose anymore more ? hows your grow gettin on lad ??? good i hope il drop by n have a look!

nice 1 beansly lad its seemed like forever to get this far but im there now lol and after growing this haze (which im pretty sure is super lemon as the weed is really light in colour and its ouzzing with a citrusy smell ) i will be growing it again , cant wait to get the next grow on in a few weeks lol happy days all round! thanks again mate

Nice job for completing your first attempt, you qualify for round II!!!!! :)

FWIW- You generally lose 75% of your wet weight, which still isnt a good number because of the lumber. For me, there is no weight till it's cured and ready to go to the patients. By then, it's dry, all excess lumber has been removed, etc. True weight.

my .02- Even a test bud needs to go thru a proper dry as that's the point,...you are testing how you did,.....micro cure won't give you any clue on that.
