Thanks man good to have some reassurance, I thought that was the case but I've been receiving a lot of pressure from my cousin's to harvest it.
Like Thundercat said, you definitely have at least a month to go. If you harvest now or any time soon you're just gonna get trash and threw away all the time you spent to get to this point.. Definitely wait it out, she'll get much bigger and actually start to look like bud. You want to check the trichomes on the buds(not the leaves) here in a month or so, when there's virtually no white hairs left. If you wait until theres 15-20% amber trichomes on the buds, you'll be at peak potency and ready to harvest.
3 or so weeks left, let the ladies get fat and happy... pistils standing straight up like that is a sure sign they are growing still, nearly all of the pistils are still white and standing amd have not turned brown or amber colored or layed over yet, when about 85 percent of the pistils on the plant have turned in color and are no longer standing straight up like they are in the photo then it will be time to cut
Ok first thing, a jewelers loupe is cheap, you have plenty of time to get on that while your plants ripen. Give them at least 3 more weeks from the looks of things, probably more like 4 before it will be considered ripe.
Shouldn't be seeing any frost for a couple of months or so but I'll keep an eye out, regarding the jewellers loupe I've ordered one now thanks to knowing they're still 3-4 weeks off, thanks for the advice
You lucky devil, where I am located the outdoor growers are always trying to get their plants ripe before a frost hits. Sometimes we get lucky and it holds off long enough.
Ya man I would love to put a greenhouse in my backyard. We definitely have the sun here in CO, but we also have the hail, lol.
