Nicely done mate. That's a hell of a result, especially for a first grow.
You got green fingers man

Thanks dude! I keep trying to over think and complicate it lol. I need to just order the 2" bulkheads, and go pick up some PVC/glue. What size hole saw for the 2" bulkheads? Just a 2" holesaw or?Congrats dude, you will deffinitly love switching to RDWC. No more changing water at each bucket, you can just siphon/drain from the main res. Nutrient additions, water additions, monitoring levels, etc...so much easier with RDWC. Supplies arent super complex. A few 2" threaded bulkheads for the returns, some 2" PVC for those returns....a few 1" blukheads for the supply lines along with some 1" hose or pvc pipe. An inline DC pump, and the required fitting....then you got yourself all you need essentially. Drop the airstones and go with either a venturi valve or a water fall in each bucket. I prefer ventrui because waterfalls are loud. Either option will give plenty of O2 into the water.
totally agree on your blower point. Also had a V1 S-trim on the coupe back in the day. It was a lot of fun too. Blowers are a lot more simple, less stuff to deal with. But the power from a turbo and how quick the power comes on... is just insane. With that said, I was daily driving the coupe with the blower on it at one point, it was pretty reliable.
Oh the only reason for that range of years is the price, wife doesn’t want the payment to be TOO high lol. It’s crazy how many people in the world share the same hobbies that I doNot sure if there is a reason you are lookin in the 13-16 range, step up to an 18 or later and there's more power available in the gen 3 engines. Mustang lover myself! Working on a 68 coupe at the moment but definitely have a soft spot for those fox bodys, that rearview. Earlier this summer i had the pleasure of driving a 08 p51 from Ny to Fl...what a ride! This one was woked on a bit and was putting out around 650 horse. Light that supercharger up in any gear below 3rd and you better be ready
I guess it depends on the bulkhead, but the ones I got from supplyhouse.com, I used 2-3/4 for the 2” bulkhead and 1-3/4 for the 1” bulkheads. That made them fit really snug. I also used some rubber sheet from Lowes for gaskets instead of the included ones and then sealed it all up with some black aquarium silicone just as added leak protection. Make sure you put a strainer over the pump intake in the water res. so you dont accidentally suck up a clay pebble and mess up your pump. Those aquarium overflow/suction strainers work well and are threaded. In my water res I have some 2” pvc on the inside so the water flows to the frontside and causes it to swirl and mix before sucking back into the 1” pump inlet, that way there arent any “no flow” dead zones. In the 2” pvc I put a strainer on the end to catch any pebbles that may fall out of netpots. Thanks dude! I keep trying to over think and complicate it lol. I'm about to start the exact same dwc set up. Any tips to help my grow go as great as yours? I'm in a 4x4 with 4 5 gallon buckets using gh nutesFirst I want to say thank you to everyone on these forums, I learned a lot. About a week and a half ago I harvested my first DWC crop. 4 plant site, 5 gal buckets, using GH nutes, 4x4 tent with a 600w MH/HPS light. Also had one of those cheap Bestva blurple lights in there as well.
I was quite impressed with one of the plants, which was the better quality and higher yielding than the other 3.
It was a lot of work tending to each bucket, so I'm planning on going the RDWC route next crop. I need to start getting a parts list together for that setup so I can get it built out and ready to go. So I will research on here as much as possible, but I'm sure I will have some additional questions.
Just wanted to make a post with my thoughts on this crop. I have almost everything in jars curing now, I have sampled some of the buds and I'm really excited. This is going to save me SO much money from buying at the dispensary/black market. I will try to upload some pictures in a bit
Sorry dude I don't think I saw these notifications in my emails. All I did was topped the plants before throwing them into flowerGreat looking photos. You obtained a nice, even canopy. I don't see any scrog netting. I am several months behind you and would love to hear what you did for training.
Thanks
Look into the Lucas Formula, that's what I switched to mid grow. Doing that for my current run too. Don't really have much other advice to add really, it is really simple lol. If you have any specific questions about anything I'd be glad to help. But it is surprisingly easy honestly, starting off with hydro was the best thing ever!I'm about to start the exact same dwc set up. Any tips to help my grow go as great as yours? And I'm sure you've already done your homework, but be sure to run hydroguard or the other product that everyone recommends (name escapes me at the moment)I'm about to start the exact same dwc set up. Any tips to help my grow go as great as yours? I'm in a 4x4 with 4 5 gallon buckets using gh nutes
