I have grown lots of hermies, and made a few.
You can cause hermie pollen pods, (Bananas), by stressing, and light cycle stress seems the best to cause it.
You can pull off the pods, daily, and you will normally get a few seeds on the bottom flowers, and seedless top buds.
Most strains do stop making the pollen pods later in flowering, until very late. many people would harvest before the late ones come out.
You can treat with dutch masters reverse, expensive but effective. this will correct any hermie issues, if you want no seed, and would rather not have to look for pods and remove them daily.
Hermie plants can be confused. One of them thought I was pulling the pods because I liked them, so she made more, until I explained to her that I really do not want them, and I am taking them off because I don't like them, so she finally quit. She thought I loved them.
All this assumes she likes you, which is partially established by talking to her, and partially by the music you play for them. (I play acoustic guitar for mine a lot. They love finger picking.)
Take care of the roots, and the plant will feel cared for.
