Harvesting Pollen

I, unfortunately, had my first male show about two weeks ago. I separated it from the ladies and am wondering when I can cut the sacs to store for future pollination? Seeds ain't cheap! Would love to give selective pollination a try. Anybody have some advice or info for me?

If you want feminized seeds, just use the bananas that the females produce after you harvest and keep it alive for a little bit longer.

So whada ya saying, harvest the plant but leave a couple buds to turn to seed, and they'll be fem? How long after cropping does it usually take to turn?

No not exactly, take your buds off and let the plant live. After a few weeks the plant will try to produce pollen in last efforts to pollinate itself. Take that pollen from the banana shaped thingies and save it until you want to use it. It should last up to a month in the freezer.

Kool man....sorry so just so I'm clear...new to this pollination thingy.... so the pollen I get from the bannana thingies is used on another female plant now and the seeds that she gives will be feminized, does this plant have to be in the flowering stage to accept the pollen??

Yeah pretty much, do this about 3-4 weeks before harvesting your plant so the feminized seeds will be ripened and ready to use.

i pollinate 2 weeks after she starts to show buds...takes around 5-8 weeks to get ripe seeds in my experience. havent made any fem seeds yet though, gona try some silver colloidal to get my girls to produce some bananas real soon.

in a nut shell you put 2 pieces of silver in some water and run an electrical current thru them, the silver breaks down in the water and then you take that water and spray your plants with it before you flower them....its sposed to make them produce pollen sacs, we will see.
