I’ve read on other posts that u can harvest the top buds first and harvest the rest as they ripen. I think this happens more with led lights. Curious are you using led?

Growers have been doing staggered harvest for years. Long before LEDs were popular.

I always do a staggered harvest. The lowers are always behind the tops in my grows. Personally I don't notice a big difference between my old 600 HPS lights and my LEDs as far as top buds ripening faster but I will say that the LEDs have more power to burn foliage at a greater distance.

Upper canopy buds most likely the furthest …. But be sure.
Then mids and lowers can grow out.

Sometimes growers cut buds at different intervals to judge best overall time for strain.
