Has any body been growing cmh lights for 5+ years and have eye damage?

yes those lights arent good.. i got lil yellow growths on my eyeballwithin a few weeks of just going in to do watering etc. similar buildup damage from sun and snow. thankfully they go away if not too severe. i have a 630 cmh ballast and bulb f/s if anyone wants that junk.

No... but they do re-train your brain on how you perceive light, and not in a good way. Hence the flashing I get when out in natural sunlight.

Just wear some Method 7's made for your light, and wear a bucket hat, you'll be fine.

WATTT???..... on a side note, the bucket hat keeps the light out of your peripheral, AND it keeps the light fixture from digging so deep into your skull when you hit it with your head.... can't tell you how many times i've done that.

pro tip:
if you blink your eyes at 60Hz a second, the diodes don't flash any more.
