Yeah, pretty much just to see if follows the correct traits.
IMHO,
The expressions of the sativa are easier to identify. (I just read an article where someone mentioned this today)
And they are the most commonly mislabeled by companies. Again, opinion. (I might take that back and say "auto" is the most commonly mislabeled, while merely "ruderalis" should only be indicated.)
Purple as an expression to identify, isn't as easy. Because you have to trigger that purple expression and that doesn't happen everytime.
(another possible way to check the genetics)
Myth or Fact, but from what I've read.
The Originial Purple Urkle on the west coast has three different expressions.
What I mean by that, it's possible to take three cuttings from one plant and each clone have a different pheno expression. (of course to get all three you probably want to take more than just three cuttings)
It almost defeats the meaning of a clone.
How could you get three different expressions, when you took all the cuttings from the same mother?
But its true that i read that. Don't have a legit cutting of purple urkle, but one day i'll find out first hand fo sho.
