Has anyone tried a trim bag?

I am going to have several pounds to trim, without much help. Trying to find a reasonably priced trimmer that I can pick up. I've seen the ones that look like salad spinners and heard they don't do the best Job. I found the trim bag on Amazon also feel like that might rash the buds.

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a trimmer around 300 $

Or if I should just buy another pair of chickamasa's and buckle in for trimming

My dad has one and loves it. The bag is WAY bigger in person that I thought it would be. It cuts his trim time down drastically, according to him. Worth the extra expenditure if you have carpal tunnel, wrist or hand problems, etc, anything that makes holding trimmers difficult.

That's what I'm locking for, being a heavy equipment operator my hands lock up after working all day. Scissors aren't my best friend lol

Keep in mind though, and this may matter. . ..you have to kind of toss the bag in a rolling motion, watch the Youtube tutorial videos and pay attention to their hands and wrists positioning during the "toss". it should still be waaaaaaaaaaay less strain than hours of trimming, lol

Yeah I watched the YouTube video

Only thing I wasn't sure about was what kind of damage if any it would do to the buds

I'll put up with tossing it over hours of scissor work !

I got a yard bag off Amazon for 9 dollars, is there something special about the trim bag besides the part that separates the trim from the bud?

I have owned 2 of them proudly and although I use a $2,000 dry trimmer machine I STILL to this day bust out the bags for certain strains like ones with really tough sugar leaf. It will swipe off everything on the outside layer of the buds though. So be warned of that but if that doesn't matter and you're not a snob then it'll get er done.

I do 30 rotations with both techniques in their manual and the buds come out clean.

What inside the bag does the actual trimming? Is the inside of the bag just an abrasive material?

There is no abrasive material, what trims the buds is them being dry enough for leaves to flick off and your basically using the buds against each other + friction that trims it. You could do the same thing in a 5 gal bucket if you get the right movement going. Look up bucket trimmer they are the same concept. Your essentially breaking the leaf off the buds.

I can trim 2-3 # an hour with breaks.
