Has anyone tried shooting cigarette filter tubes with bud?

just use a pen or something and some well broken up bud and pack it in, don't be lazy and risk ruining a perfectly good machine lol

Used to in high school in a pinch if there was nothing to smoke from and no papers. Just remove filter after filling the tube. Probably right about it getting gummed up if used on a regular basis.

The tube and packer things are cool for pipe tobacco and stuff, but ya, eventually they get kinda sticky with bud.
I saw some things last time I was at the head shop, you pack your stuff down a little tube, and it smokes like a cig.
small case thing is the housing for it.
Kinda cool.

They have a brand called cones that are like the cig tubes but with a weed cardboard filter. Much easier. But joints suck you should learn how to roll blunts! You'll never regret it!

The cig papers burn faster than joint papers. It wastes an ass load of bud. And you will find that the paper burns faster than your bud. Leaving unsmoked bud in the ash tray

  • Blunts are my preference. The convenience of having a 20 pack rolled in a few minutes though is what I'm getting at. I checked out the cones, kind of cool I guess, but not worth it.

learning to hand roll is a major advantage. all these fancy ways to get it rolled cost more money than they're worth and take a lot of time.

i'll be honest, when i used to have a crank roller to roll my tobacco ciggs the thought crossed my mind more than once, but the maintenance on those things is a huge pain in the ass. they gum up with tobacco use, so i don't even want to know what would happen with bud. using those things properly is as much of an art as hand rolling. too tight, too loose, the consistency of the tobacco, the speed of the crank...fuck it all. then you have to take it apart and clean it, oil it, and replace parts. the whole thing was such a chore that i went back to buying packs.

all that time would be better spent learning how to reliably hand roll. i can hand roll my own cigarettes now if i want. it's just a matter of getting the filter tips. i am a shaky-handed, spatially challenged klutzy son of a bitch, so if i can do it, anyone can. just don't sneeze.

I use a crank roller all the time, probly smoke 2 packs a day. had the same one for a while now. never had any mechanical breakages. slide rollers suck, but would work to roll a shitty joint. hand roll ur J's, you will be a better person for it. filters in a joint? quit smoking pot, ur missing the point.

I can bust out about 20 blunts in less than 20 minutes.

They dont gum up "eventually" Ive tried 3 different strains in my ciggerette roller (quit smoking cigs like 8 months ago so Ill screw with the roller if i want lol) and I have never gotten it to not gum up on the very first tube of bud...the only way i could see it working is if you have some way way overdried crap weed thats not sticky at all (which i dont plan on ever buying since I can grow all my own sticky icky) so its in someone elses hands now.

Ooh and I think blunts and joints are both dumb as hell. Why burn any kind of paper with your weed thats nasty and your wasting so much. I prefer a nice glass or titanium pipe myself

I mix a little in a few cigs when I roll and mark them for work use.
Catch a little buzz on my late day smoke breaks.
If too much it doesn't burn right.

Much better tasting when you smoke a nice blunt then any piece that isn't sparkling clean or brand new. And even then there's a little something missing.

also always hated carrying a piece around that could break or get lost or get me in trouble with the law.

If you gotta you can eat a whole blunt real quick. Hahahaha

Just too big of a hassle for me for something that tastes worst. But if you're one of those people who cleans their pieces weekly or doesn't smoke a lot pieces are your best friend.

During work season I water cure bud/sugar leaf and roll it 50/50 in cigarettes for consumption while my boss is standing right next to me. We have a don't ask/don't tell/don't crash policy (OSHA and DOT require drug testing, but only if I have an accident.) I poke small holes in the filters. If I don't poke the holes, most of the goodness is filtered out. But, with the holes it works nicely.

I've talked to police while smoking one (directing traffic around our crew) and he didn't even bat an eye, same as smoking around my fiend co-workers who get worthless with a couple hits of indica - they just think it's my "nasty ass native tobacco" that causes the smoke to smell lighter than a normal cigarette.

Your boss is a good man, I bet he's got some mad karma going. I used to do residential construction and my boss had a similar policy.
I'm curious, what kind of benefit do you get from water curing? Anything I've water cured has always tasted/smelled pretty bad, like lawn grass. Probably doing it wrong. What kind of affect does that have on potency?

Thks for the reply btw.

Carefully change the water FREQUENTLY at first, I change every 4 hours for the first 2 days, and then let it run a couple more days with 1 water change a day. Don't use straight tap water, bottled water. Dry out thoroughly with air movement. You aren't going to be able to "cure" the bud, but treat it just like you would normal bud, give it a week in a jar after drying. Smell goes from swamp/grass to gone. The benefit is burning water-cured bud is pretty much tasteless and scentless. In with tobacco, the net effect is a lighter less strong smelling smoke, and, if you've aerated your filter, a really nice all-day buzz, as you smoke your "cigarettes." Unless you abuse the bud in the water, there's no change in potency from the cure (most cannabinoids are hydrophobic,) just makes stealth weed. If you break off trichs in the water, it'll weaken the potency.
