Has anyone used LLama manure?

So I have a friend who just got 2 llamas. He gave me a nice bag of manure but I dont know if it needs to composted or if I should just use it. I have no experience with llama poop. Any suggestion on how to use it would be great. Thanks.

Probably compost it so it breaks down better but you can use any poop so while your at it squat one into you compost bin :p

That's a great score! Llama/Alpaca, and rabbit manure are supposed to be the best types to use for gardening. If you know for *certain* that the animal is healthy and well taken care of you could use it fresh, but IMO it's always best to compost any manure in case there are pathogens present. Thermophilic composting heats the pile up very quickly, and at 130+ degrees all pathogens will be killed in 4-5 days. Just keep the pile moist, and turn it once or twice a day.

I have used alpaca manure for many grows, it's a really good manure, the only one better is rabbit.
Ya don't need to compost it, I can't remember but if I recall correctly llama manure looks like a bunch of pebbles, if it does you can use it fresh.
Pebbles are good, rabbit, alpaca, deer, etc.
Plops are bad fresh, horse, cow, etc.
BUT that all being said, personally i'd give it a month or so to compost a lil more to be sure.
but I have used alpaca fresh before, mash it up with your EWC/compost.
Good stuff though.
