i just went ahead and bought some ffof.. so i wouldn't have to add anything to it until i start adding nutes.
i tried some mg seed starter mix at my old place and for some reason i would get a film of white mold on the top of my soil. also my baby plants would bend in half and die after a couple days after germinating.

Needs nutes for sure. No nitrogen and pH is way off! Any grow store will have a good pH meter. For soil grows I keep my pH at 6.7. Some folks like it even higher or lower. Each to his/her own.
