what most of the posts talk about here is NOT hash but rather hash oil. a different thing altogether. Hash oil is the thick black goo that is the direct result from ISO this is made from stalks and stems. Hash on the other hand is not made with stems and stalks, but rather with quality bud. Hash uses ice andfilter bags. hash oil is made with ISO and a bottle. read up on both, so you get an idea of the differences between the two. what most people on here call hash is really just hash oil. just as potent, it's just a different substance.

I dont know about the whole ISO thing, Ive never done it but I was also under the impression it was to make oil. As for the hash being made out of bud, it is also made out of trim. I would only throw my little crappy nugs in there personally, and besides the ice and filter or bubble hash method there is also pressed hash.

yeah you can make pressed hash. this is made from keif also called finger hash

I didn't say you can't use bud, this is instead of tossing what would normally be seen as garbage, you can use stems and stalks! why throw it out, when you can reuse it to make hash oil? Sure, yiou can use bud, but then you waste the bud, by not being able to smoke it. So, instead of throwing away all those clippings, just make hash oil. and save your bud for smoking!

the gooey mess that you go 'e-e-ew' over I reuse! it is a resinated goo left over from spit, and weed resin. (ok, I admit it does sound a bit gross), but beijng desperate (unemployed) I tend to use everything twice! so when I clean my pipes and bowls, most of that stuff gets recycled with old bud into a smokeable mess! Sure, it tastes nasty (kind iof like burning, wet sneakers, lol) but it burns just like hash oil (it's is a close resemblance) and gets me stoned! I don't do this often, just when I'm broke and almost out of weed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else, most people don't smoke it with me, it is just a privatething when I am cleaning my numerous smoking apparatus's (apparati?) so, ok, now you can all go E-e-e-eww!

Do you mix yours with baby laxative, dog shit, eingine oil and a tonne of other crap before you sell yours, to make it weigh more? Becuase thats what the bastards here do.....

wahs goin on yall... ive heard the methods all of you described, but havent smoked any of it as far as i know... ive watched "ready set grow 2" and they explain a reall good way to make hash which nobody has mentioned.

I have a herb grinder, its quite nifty i must say... it has a screen below the grinder and a compartment below that, that catches all the "crystals" from the grinded bud. After two weeks, smoking 2 blunts a day, theres quite a bit of residue in there. Its a golden tanish color

According to ready set grow, you take those particles and pressed them in a silafan wrapper (the plastic you find off of cigarette packs) Then you wrapped it in aluminum foil, and/or tape (i forget the details) and put it in the oven for a few mins. This bakes it into a cookie and you break and enjoy... havent tried it myself, but im steady grinding, because 420 is right around the corner baby!

The best way is bubble bags. They come in diff sizes. 1 gal 5 gal and 20 gal.
I bought the 1 gal from HEADIES. Cold water extraction. There is s vid on youtube. The better quality trim or bud you use the better the hash. The lighter the hash the better.
Google bubble bags and check em out. The 1 gal bags cost 100.00 and come with 4 bags.

I use a five bag bubblebag system plus a catching sack for the very small sativa tricomes, used to hand press but have now purchased a pollem press so now i can let the hash completely dry out and press into 1,2 or 3 gram cakes makes it easier for storage

Was wondering if anyone knows how the Moroccans make that gold-leaf stamp. I was thinking about making a 3-4 gram brick for my brother's birthday, and wanted to put a gold-stamp of a lion on the brick (My brother's name is Leo - hence the Lion). Thanks for any suggestions, ideas, in advance.

Also - please save any ignorant comments suggesting I use gold paint or some toxic crap like that. (Not trying to be rude, but I've seen a lot of immature comments before, and would just like to avoid those in-advance. I apologize if I offended anyone.)

You need a good amount of stems. Soak them in grain alcohol for 2 hours. Strain the alcohol out from the stems. Cook alcohol over ELECTRIC STOVE (NOT GAS!) until liquid evaporates. Black gunk will be left on the bottom of your pot/pan. Scrape off and enjoy. Hope that helps. Also google it for really elaborate methods.

ewww that sounds disgusting , and it wont be very potent just using stems lol , at least use decent trim .

If you have the press already all you need to do is go to a baking supply store. Get gold leaf there. It's edible.

Thanks, thats what I figured, but wasn't sure if that would have an effect on the smoke (contaminate it too much).

Actually, that's incorrect.

The bulbous trichromes (and even the other trichromes) that are on the stems and leaves are every bit as potent as the ones on your mature buds. The only real difference is in the amount of trichromes - The the bud on the female plant contains approximately 90% of your trichromes; the other 10% is found on the stems and leaves.

Another misconception: Many people think that the male plant doesn't have psychoactive trichromes, but this is false - they just don't contain nearly as many.

If you are making hash, then maximize your yield and use everything the plant(s) provide you with. To keep contaminates to a minimum, make sure you DO NOT cut-up your bud/skuff and don't let it get too dry. The perfect time to use your trimmings (Skuff)/buds is right after you harvest a mature plant.
