Hash making attempt

im gonna give making hash a try but i havent had any plants so ive collected a bit of stems and some roachs. im only looking to make enough to sample my own before i really try it. so here is my plan correct me if you see fit. im gonna put my stems and roachs in a little jar with the alcohal. shaking it for a long time and and sturring it. then filter the alcohal into a bowl and let evaporate then scrape it up. does that sound right?

thats hash oil. Your better off using acetone or butane because iso alchohol has additives in it. (ie. 99% iso)

I\'m new here.....but, why would you want to smoke anything that has acetone or butane in it? That is what you do with hash right?

additives? isnt the other 1 percent just h2o, i would hardly consider that and additive. and I think you need more bud than that for the butane method...

Hash is nothing more than the heads of the crystals that you see on the buds and sugar leaves. Hash is usually made from the left over trim after manicuring the buds.

After your next harvest, scrape the sissors and your fingers. That's some nice hash right there.

yeah i cant wait for sissor hash. so this will work i know it wont be great but ill be happy.

Alocohl will work but it will break up the "Resin" from the weed. Try not to leave it solution for too long and keep the solution cool. chlorophyll will extract just as well as THC so be careful.
From personal experience: you dont want to smoke something thats 99.9% chlorophyll and .1% THC/CBN/CBC/THC-COOH/TAR/CO etc..

could you tell me about how much it will take me to get half a bowl pack or even just enough to get high

I have a site for you, takes like an hour to make some good hash. Substitute the screen they use for any really fine mesh screen around the house or use a bigger screen and be really gentle w/ the bud.

na im just trying to make enough to try it before i give it a real attempt.

at least a 1/4 oz of stems and stuff, that's quite a bit when you start weighing it but a pnut butter jar packed should do it. I made some a few months back, it's pretty good for homemade oil. of course the better stuff you use, the better your hash oil will become. I used literally garbage, all that stuff that I used to toss out; stems, dried schwag, shake. I soaked it in ISO (99%, which I found in a local supermarket) ran it thru poured it onto as SCRAP china plate (it makes the stickiest black goo!) and gave it 3 days to let the ISO evaporate. it made about 1/4 shotglass-full amount of oil. I put some ( about a pencil eraser-sized chunk) onto a bowl of weed, burn it, (letting it melt and bubble) and enjoyed a most pleasant high (akin to smoking hash, just a little stronger, and harsher tasting)

thank you. i gave it a shot and only ended up with enough to cover a packed bowl. it was pretty good though but next time i will be using trimmings
